    A B/T romantic comedy

    “Ok, what’s going on here?” Kit’s strong voice rumbled over the music garnering everyone’s attention and focusing it on the slowly blushing couple.

    “Oh my God, Tina and Bette are holding hands.” Jenny cried out.

     

    Bette swallowed once and fought down the urge to let go of Tina’s hand like it was a hot potato and instead held it tighter. She could sense the blonde tensing up beside her but the hand in her grasp remained still.

    After a second Tina gently resumed the rubbing motion of her thumb on the back of Bette’s hand.

     

    “God Jenny, what are you, twelve?” Alice asked annoyed.

    Tasha snickered as discreetly as possible while Shane wore a look halfway between amused and stoic. 

    Jenny shot Alice a dirty look but chose to let it past without replying. She was much more interested in the other two women under the spotlight.

    “Are you two dating?” She asked.

    “Yes.” Tina replied firmly while silently apologizing to her mother who had always told her it was bad to lie.

    “But Bette…” Jenny started in a whiny voice.

    “Yes, Jenny?”

    Tina couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Alice was wrong, Jenny wasn’t twelve years old she was six.

     

    “You and Jodi were so in love and then you weren’t enough for her. She broke your heart into a million pieces and you know it’s never going to mend. How can you bear to be dating? I’ve been writing a beautiful, deep piece about it.”

    Jenny’s words felt like needles carelessly piercing Bette’s heart, shredding the thin layer of healed tissue that covered recent wounds.

    Everyone in the group looked disbelievingly at Jenny and even Shane could do nothing but shake her head from side to side.

    Bette felt tears sting the back of her eyes. She looked away as her mind flew away and she was only distantly aware of Jenny’s groupie suddenly breaking the silence.

    “Oh my God, you are writing about it? You are brilliant. It’s going to be so good.”

    Jenny smiled smugly at the girl gazing at her adoringly.

     

    Tina was fuming and as she saw Bette’s eyes glistening with unshed tears she could no longer control herself.

Man, I hope Tina can heal her heart because I can’t, for the life of me, think what it could possibly be about Jodi that is worth her tears. Love alpha Tina, so hot and sexy and as beachlife and audi said, “damn Tina is good and protective, confident, in control and ready to defend Bette even before she really knows her. How alpha and HOT is that? Gosh, go TINA!, claim your woman. Please continue the next chapter with them dancing all cute and snugly together. Let them feel that electrical connection while on the dance floor. Let’s get this party started. Yeah, I’m crazy, just love Bette and Tina together. PPS

    14. like you i am a certified ff lword addict but honestly your story is no shit the one that has got me the most excited about lately…….really…..you have great writing ability and may inspire me to actually dip my feet into this ff writing pool one day. Trouble is when you serve it up this good you are now responsible for pushing your ff forward…..cause now we are all going to need our daily fix….

    17. This chapter was brilliant. Bette and Tina’s pull toward one another shows through there reactions to one another. I love that Tina whooped Jenny figuratively after her insensitive comments to Bette. Can’t wait for more.
