Bette was walking alone her thought all over the place. What if Tina really thinks that about her? That she could be so heartless. She tried to reason that Tina wasn’t mad at her only projecting but it still hurt.
Tina was pacing she tried calling Bette over and over again but it reach her voicemail. ‘Come on where are you?’ She thought about calling Alice or Natalie but it will only raise question she wasn’t ready to deal with. She looked at her watch Bette was gone for an hour.
She heard the door opening, hoping it was Bette she looked up seeing Bette entering.
Bette looked at her “You’re still here” Bette observed.
“I’m sorry” Tina ran to her taking her hands “Your hands are cold”
“Just like me” Bette said, “A heartless bitch right?”
“No, babe no” Tina held her hands tighter. “I was hurt and I lashed out you didn’t deserve any of that. Please forgive me, please” Tina begged.
“Is that how you see me?” Bette asked in a small voice.
“No” Tina shook her head, “Bette I know you, I know you would never do that ok? I know” Tina caressed Bette’s cheek.
“I would never do that. I would never promise someone forever just to get in bed with them.”
“I know just seeing her… brought everything back and I just… I’m an idiot”
“I wanted to be there FOR you not as your punching bag.”
“I’m so so sorry” Tina repeated, “I’m sorry I hurt you, I am. It’s the last thing I wanted to do”
“Well me getting hurt is the last thing I wanted to” Bette said with a trace of a smile.
Tina smiled back she kissed Bette gently.
“I’m sorry” She said between kissed as she kissed her way to Bette’s earlobe.
Bette smiled “I’m actually hungry”
“Then lets eat.” Tina smiled back holding Bette’s hand. “Again I’m sorry you got hurt”
“Just don’t let it happen again” Bette winked.
‘Fuck I can’t tell her…’ Tina thought.
They sat together, Tina took Bette’s hand. Bette smiled then removed her hand using it to eat. Tina caressed Bette bicep “Babe?”
“I’m fine” Bette quickly answered.
Tina sighed “I said I was sorry”
“I know, I know. I just… I guess I need more time” Bette said taking a deep breathe “Alone”

oh wow, people can be so cruel without realizing the long term consequences. Bette did fuck that young woman over. It’s a real life scenario and not a game. Too many young & not so young people have taken their lives or ended up mentally and emotionally broken. Good on u for telling this story. Now Tina must tell the truth.

Yes, Bette made a mistake with Amanda but I disagree with Rau that Bette caused her undoing. It seems that Amanda was unstable emotionally and insecure…that does not happen overnight with one sexual experience. Love the story and Tina will hurt Bette but will Bette forgive her so easily next time…i don’t think so.
What a chapter! Some major character developments going on. I think its good that Bette was so honest but now its Tina’s turn. If she doesn’t admit what she has done someone else will do it for her. Can’t wait to read more! PPS
