Well here we are.

Okay Shane, this is Mark our resident doorman.

Hey man.

Mark this is Shane. She is helping out for a bit today.

Mark being his stoic self did not even crack a smile and just let them through.

The night was still early yet so the place was pretty empty except for the usual customers loitering around with their choice of booze.

As you can see the main bar is down here. Before nine, we do serve dinner; pretty decent too I might add. After that, there is a smaller selection on the bar menu. Its barely eight so why dont we grab something to eat before it gets too crowded.

Sounds good. Shane followed James back into the kitchen. On the way, she kept on looking around the place and couldnt help but think that it was pretty cool.

Meg my love. How are you this fine afternoon? James laughingly gave the heavier woman a hug.

Meg gave out a booming laugh and hugged him in turn almost lifting him up from the ground. When she spotted Shane, she asked, So what have you brought with you into my kitchen? She looks like she needs feeding.

Shane looked on at the pair and couldnt help but smiled for there was an obvious affection between them.

James pulled Shane forward and presented her to Meg. This is Shane and she hailed from the city of brotherly love. This is her first time in the Big.

Without another word, Meg gave Shane a welcoming hug. Welcome hun. So what do you like to eat because if I know anything about Jay here he doesnt have anything in his fridge.

Uhanything is fine really, Shane mumbled. She was not used to kindness from stranger, so this was just plane weird to her. With Jameswell Jay, it was different because Shane could see that Jay was like her. This woman and her warmth were perplexing to her.

Out of nowhere, a bowl of beef stew materialized in front of Shane. Her mouth started to water at the sweet smell of food. She smiled a thank you at Meg.
