    So mother and daughter sat in Bette’s study reviewing topics to consider. Bette started with Angie’s miraculous birth and the little girl shook her head ‘no’. That wasn’t special enough, Angie reasoned. Everyone had a story like that. So Bette recanted several other options, but Angie should her head no to each one Bette suggested.

    The brunette was running out of options for her daughter when she mentioned that she and her Mama had once gotten stuck in an elevator during a power outage and had realized that they loved each other enough to get back together. It had been a defining moment in their lives.

    Ding. Ding.

    A light bulb moment.

    Angie had connected the dots for her Mama B.

    Bette grinned and her eyes sparkled with recognition. A solution was now within her grasp!!!

    No one was going to get the better of Bette Porter.

    So not happening!!!

    Angie was happy with that story and Bette had helped her daughter write a few sentences for her essay. Now the homework was done and dinner had been made, so mother and daughter waited for Tina to arrive home to share their evening with.

    Angie had gone to her room to listen to a video book while waiting for Tina to arrive home. That left Bette with plenty of time to think back on that night’s homework assignment. The seed was planted for nourishment and growth.

    Over the course of Thursday and Friday, Bette chewed on ideas whenever she had a free moment. Going over and over possibilities in her mind. Leaving no options left to chance.

    Was she forgetting some of the most memorable moments in their lives and short changing the number of kisses involved in each occasion???

    Like special days such as that other fateful evening at the She-Bar when they had reconnected and couldn’t get enough of each other. Those kisses had consumed them. They were a wild mix of want, burning desire, unbridled passion and unmistakable love.

    Or the night they made love after that crazy attempt with the art lecture guy to get Tina pregnant. God, what a fiasco. But they had kissed for hours and hours that night after he stormed out. Making love and worshipping each other til the early hours of the following morning. Neither woman could get enough of the other. Tina had even told Bette she felt so lucky to have her.

      Liked the journey down memory lane with the some of their ‘special events’.

    9. I have been remiss not to comment on this chapter. Such a different take on their mutual affection. Writing short stories can be just as challenging as writing 19 page chapters so kudos to you for posting these!

        Thanks for checking in. No worries on the timing – I know exactly what you mean!!!
        It certainly is a challenge to keep on top of all the new stories & then find time to write our own stories & chapters as well.

        I have enjoyed writing these shorties – sure it can be challenging to get everything in that 2 or 2 chapters, but the long term multiple stress isn’t there.

        Looking forward to your updates with your 2 other stories too!!!
