    “Sure babe.” Bette grins at her wife. ”You know me”

    She still had her glasses on, navy blue lounge pants and a baby blue Henley shirt, sleeves rolled up to her elbows as usual. And she looked so damn good to Tina. Sexy as was her usual mode of appearance. God she loved her.

    “How are you going to calculate that?” Tina now put her own newspaper section down and focused on her wife.

    “Well, if you think back to when we first started dating…”

    “Yeah?” Tina’s brows shot up.

    “Well, we know when the first kiss happened.” Bette grins at her wife and leans over to place a soft kiss on Tina’s pink lips.

    “That we do.” Tina cups Bette’s cheek and places her own kiss on the brunette’s lips.

    “That’s 2 more to add to the list for today.” Bette smiles as she turns to the notepad and makes a notation. “Okay, okay here goes.”

    Tina moves closer to her wife as they sit side by side.

    “Where to start?”

    “So I was thinking that we take a normal day.” Bette starts as she makes a chart on the notepad. “Any day of the week and add up how many times we kissed that day and then that becomes our daily average for our kiss quota.”

    “Kiss quota?” Tina giggles.

    “Yeah.” Bette chuckles herself. “An average of how many times we could kiss in a typical day.”

    “Oh, okay. How many times do you think that is?”

    “Well, take yesterday for an example.”

    “What about it?”

    “So yesterday was a normal Saturday for us.” Bette explains. “We spent the day together as a family and with each other.”

    “True.” Tina agreed, cupping her own chin and leaning her elbow on her left knee. “We didn’t need to work outside the house and we spent the day together.”

    “Right.” Bette nods.

    “Okay, so we went to bed after midnight on Friday night.”

    “And whose fault is that?” Bette grinned, knowing the answer to that question.

    “Yours.” Tina taps Bette’s shoulder. “You couldn’t keep your hands to yourself after we got into bed.”

    “Wait, wait, wait a minute.” Bette quickly swings around and looks at Tina. “You jumped me when I came back from the en suite.”

        This story actually stemmed from a scene I was going to include in another short story. This was marked to be just a paragraph in that story & then I thought – ‘this could be more than just a couple of sentences’.
        So I flushed it out more & tried to give it a light, funny side.
