    The Time L-element (Part 4 Of 5)

-Saturday, Dan Foxworthy’s office.  Jenny continues explaining the dream to Dan.-

Jenny: The best laid plans of mice and men and Jennifer Schecter.  I had just tried to convince the truth to my friends and failed.  I was going to have live with the possibility of Dana dying again, despite my efforts.  This continuation of going back in time wasn’t a dream…it was a nightmare.  A nightmare I’m stuck in and get out of.  So I did the only thing I could think of…I just sat at home and wrote.  I was going to write the story of Dana’s passing and the demise of my friends and their relationships.  Everything from the past three years would be there.  It would all be written out.  I knew of nothing else I could do.

-Back in time, Jenny is at home, typing away on her computer.-

Jenny’s attempt to write Lez Girls earlier in her life has given way to the story of everyone’s future.  Her typing is interrupted by a knock on the door.  As she stands, the door opens.  Entering Jenny’s home are Bette and Tina, followed by Dana and Lara, then Kit.

Kit: Jenny!  Off the computer, girl we gotta talk.

    Jenny: What’s this about?

Everyone who has entered have a less than pleasant disposition as they take seats in the living room.  Jenny walks into the living room and sits in a lone chair as the others take over the sofas.

Bette: We’re having an impromptu intervention.

Tina: Yes.  Unfortunetly, Shane and Carmen can’t be here, because they’re at work.

Bette: And Alice isn’t here, because she’s…

    Bette rolls her eyes.

Tina: Helena picked her up so they could go do…something…

Bette: Whatever.  Anyway, the reason we’re calling this intervention is because we’re concerned about you, Jenny.

Kit: Jenny, we love ya.  We do.  But since you showed up unannounced this morning, you’ve…you’ve been out there.

Tina: We just want to know what’s going on.

Jenny: What’s going on?  It’s hard to explain.

Lara: It’s what you’ve said about Dana.

Dana looks uncomfortable as the conversation goes on, opting to stay silent for now.

Jenny: I’m sorry.  …I’m not looking to be mean, or spiteful.  It’s just that I know what’s going to happen.

    1. I hope Jenny sees the dream through… If she can convince Dana to get seen early, who knows what it all might change? Mostly for the better, maybe a little for the worse? Never mind any possibly paradoxical outcomes. Dana living can only be a good thing. Thanks for the post.
