The Triangle of Love – Chapter 19

    Alice: Dane, this is nice.

Dana: I know baby. I love you so much, Alice.

Alice: I love you so much too, Dane.

Dana turned her head slightly, so her lips were resting on Alice’s neck. She felt Alice shiver under her touch, and began to worry if she was cold.

    Dana: Baby, are you cold?

Alice: No, I’m fine. It’s just that, this is perfect.

Dana: It is. I’m here, with the perfect view, the perfect night and the perfect girl. How could my life get any better right now?

Alice: Dane, can I ask you something?

Dana: Yeah, Al. Ask me anything.

Alice: Do you think were taking things too slow? I mean, everyone assumed we’d already made out.

Dana: No, I don’t. I think we’re taking things as we need to. If we do things too fast, it could ruin us, and I don’t want that. We can take it at our own pace, and when it does happen, we’ll cherish the moments more. But no, I don’t think we’re taking things too slowly. I love you more than anyone and I would wait forever and a day for you. That’s all that matters.

Alice: That’s sweet Dane. You see, this is why I didn’t want to tell them.

Dana: Yeah, but it might be a good thing.

    Alice: How?

Dana: We’re talking about it. A lot of people in relationships don’t talk about these things, and just jump right in at the deep end, so to speak. It might be good for us to talk about it, so when it does happen, we won’t be caught off guard. And I kind of like this whole ‘getting to know you’ stage.

Alice: Dane, you know me better than anyone, what else is there to know?

Dana: A lot. I don’t know what it’s like to sleep with you. I don’t know what it’s like to kiss you ‘properly’ as our friends like to put it. But there’s so much more than that. I don’t know what it’s like to be with you like that, because we haven’t had chance. I mean, we haven’t even been on a date.

Alice: Yeah, I was planning on fixing that once my pots are off. And I guess that’s true. But are you willing to wait?
