It was a busy morning at the Planet. The moment Tina stepped in she was surprised to realized how crowded it was. Smiling, happy for Kitm, she walked to the line. She looked around but didnt see any familiar face so while waiting she checked her cell, just in case she had any messages.

“she is gorgeous…”
“Ask her out…”

Tina looked up to see who was talking. Two young women just ahead of her in the line were whispering to each other, loud enough for Tina to be able to hear what they were saying. Smiling, remembering the old times, Tina looked down again, trying to pretend being busy, not wanting to intrude.

“are you out of your mind? She is totally out of my league…” said the beautiful, short hair brunette.
“why?…she is beautiful but so was Mallory…” the tall blonde at her side said
“I know…but there is something about her…she looks so secure, so distant…but… did you know that Helen saw her crying once? ” whispered the brunette getting close to the blonde.
“Really?…” the blonde said, leaning forward trying to look behind one of the columns.
“Yeah…(nodded the brunette)…besides…the word is she is not dating..” she added, pushing the blonde to stop trying to take a peak.

Tina, smiling, was finding hard not to look herself. It was fun to listen to them, she was feeling like a teenager again, remembering the times when she had a crush on somebody, remembering the doubts, the laughs, the insecurities.

Opening her purse she started pretending to look for something, hoping for the girls to continue.

“she is not?…why?…I dont understand…I heard she broke u with her girlfriend a few months ago…” the blonde was saying as she turned around, noticing Tina at their back.

“hi” she added seductively smiling at Tina.

“Hi” shyly said Tina, blushing a little.

“Hey…what are you doing here?” Alice said from behind.

Surprised, Tina turned around, finding Alice and Shane smiling at her.

“Hey..hi..I…” she mumbled.

“I thought you were in San Diego” Alice said.

“I was…came back this morning” Tina said.

“You look great Tee” said Shane patting Tinas arm.

“Thanks..”

“So what are you doing here?” asked Alice pushing Tina a little, trying to get the line moving.

As Alice pushed Tina, Tina pushed the blonde who turned around again.

“Hi” seductively nodded Shane.

“Hi” smiled the blonde not before checking Tina up again.

Looking from Shane to the blonde, Tina smiled before saying to Alice.

“Im meeting Bette, we…”

Noticing the blonde and the brunette turning to look at her in unison Tina looked at them, curious. Quickly, pretending to be doing something else, the two young women turned around again. Amused, curious, Alice whispered to Tina,

“Making friends?”

“Eh?” asked Tina, looking from her friends to the two women walking ahead of them.

Shaking her head, moving on with the conversation, Alice added,

“So, you two talking again?”

“Eh?” asked Tina again, looking to where Alice was nodding.

“You… and Bette..” Alice added pointing to Bette who unaware of her friends presence, was seated at the table just behind the column.

Seeing Bette for the first time Tina looked to the women in front of her who, very unsuccessfully were trying to act nonchalantly.

“Tee?” asked Shane, looking from the blonde to Tina and then to Bette.

Turning to look at Shane, Tina shook her head.

“Eh?…yeah..yeah…we are talking…we are going to the doctors later…”

“Great! Thats great!…am so happy for you!”

Alice words escaped Tinas conscience as her mind was processing the two women previous conversation. Looking at Bette she suddenly saw her with other eyes, from a different point of view, like an outsider. Staring at her, Tina realized, for the first time how thin Bette was. She had lost weight since they were together but then she also noticed how beautiful she looked, even more than ever.

“Tina! Your turn!” Alice said pushing Tina to the counter.

Hearing Alices voice, Bette turned around to find Alice, Tina and Shane ordering at the counter. Smiling, she nodded at them, trying to get known. Shane smiled back. Looking at then Bette noticed Tinas belly. It was getting bigger and bigger as her face, the look in her eyes was getting more beautiful too.
Unable to stop staring, Bette studied Tinas features. She realized how long her hair was, how blonde too. She also realized that Tina was tanner than usual. It only made her even more beautiful Bette thought feeling her lungs closing for a second. But then, Tinas laughter broke the spell Bette was getting into.
Shaking her head she stood up to welcome her. Realizing that maybe that was a silly move, or an uncalled one she nonchalantly took a chair for another table.

“Is Dana coming?” She asked Alice trying to cover her moves.

Shaking her head Alice sat down while Shane offered Tina the empty chair at Bettes side. Sitting down, Bette said looking at Tina,

“You look great”

“Thank you…I feel great” Tina said, her hand instinctively caressing her belly.

“So?…are you going to find out? You want to know?” asked Alice pointing Tinas belly.

Feeling the inquiry look on Bettes eyes, her silence, Tina nodded.

“Yeah…I want to know..you?” she asked looking at Bette.

“Yeah me too…” nodded Bette, smiling.

Shane, drinking her coffee was checking the blonde and brunette sat at the nearby table. Noticing Shane, Alice said,

“Sorry Shane..for once I think those two are more interest in Tina…”

Turning around Bette tried to check who Alice was talking about. Facing Bette, the two women blushed before hiding their faces behind their coffee mugs.

Seeing the confused look on Bettes face, Tina found herself saying,

“Actually, I think they were talking about Bette…”

“Me?” asked Bette turning again to check the women out.

“I dont know them” she quickly added looking at Tina.

“Apparently they do know you…” saidTina, her tone lacking of any judgement but not as cool as she pretended.

Just as Bette was going to say something else, Tinas cell started vibrating. Checking the caller id she stood up, whispering,

“Excuse me”

Watching Tina walk to the terrace, Bette looked away, trying to hide the pain from her face. Noticing it, Shane said,

“So the doctor, eh?…do you prefer a girl or a boy?”

Sighing, forcing a smile on her face, Bette said,

“I dont mind…”Unable to stop following Tinas figure at the terrace, she added, “…Tina is pretty sure is going to be a girl”

“Cool!…a girl” Shane nodded, smiling.

Yeah…” Bette mumbled as Tina was walking back to the table.

Sitting down, she took her beverage saying,

So, you ready to go?”

Sure…” said Bette standing up.

“Ok…see you, guys…” Tina said to her friends as the two women at the other table were carefully listen and watching.

Following Bettes steps, walking by the two women table, Tina whispered, unable to stop the words,

“Bye…”

With that, caressing her belly, Tina walked out of the Planet unaware of the big smile drawn on her face.
