Bette and Tina spent Monday afternoon and early evening with Kit, Angus and Angie at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The park offered an array of activities and live performances for kids and adults of all ages so there was something enjoyable for everyone. It just felt good to be together and have a relaxing day of family fun without any drama.

When they got home Kit and Angus started dinner while Bette and Tina bathed Angie, read her a story and put her down for the night. During dinner they talked a little about the retreat and their time in New York but they were more interested in talking to Angus about his plans.

He told them that he and his band were close to getting a record deal. He also expected that the duet that he did with Kit on her CD would also bring them more attention once it was released so his availability to continue as Angie’s manny would likely be just a few odd days a week. Soon the band would be traveling on the weekends doing live performances in small clubs up and down the coast so he couldn’t commit to more. Kit had hired a manager for the Planet so she was still flexible to act as a backup as were Shane, Dana and Alice whenever needed. Of course once Angie started daycare on a full-time basis they would need to coordinate pickup and drop off and making sure someone was always available in case of an emergency.

Bette and Tina had a lot to talk about and a lot of decisions to make over the next few weeks. Kit and Angus said goodnight with the promise to babysit on Saturday so Bette and Tina could have their date night and of course they would be there for family dinner on Sunday evening which would give them a chance to talk some more.

After they left Bette locked up while Tina went to check on Angie who was still sound asleep. She walked into the guest bedroom where she’d been sleeping from the time when she’d told Bette about her feelings for men. Since they’d gotten home from the retreat they hadn’t talked about her moving back into the master bedroom. Tina didn’t want to presume especially since they’d agreed to date and take it slowly. Tina was gathering her sleepwear and toiletries to go take a shower in the guest bathroom when Bette appeared at her bedroom door.
