    Seventeen Reasons Why…

    Tina just smiled, knowing Bette better than the gorgeous brunette knew herself.

    "Are you trying to deflect the attention off of you during my grand gesture?"

    "I’m not deflecting," Bette said in defensively, but couldn’t keep the smile off her face. "But, T…really…how did you get here and still do what you did?"

    Tina returned Bette’s warm smile, noticing that Bette wasn’t judging her. The question was asked out of sincere curiosity.

    Without saying a word, Tina turned to the side, and waved her arm backward toward the door. "My driver," she smiled at Shane, who sheepishly smiled and gave Bette a half wave and nod in acknowledgment.

    Shaking her head, Bette turned back to Tina and just stood and took in the beauty of the woman in front of her. Neither woman said anything, and Angelica sat safely in her mother’s arm watching them both…her head going back and forth, waiting for one of them to speak first.

    As Bette’s eyes made their way up Tina’s body, and landed on her face, she finally realized Tina was looking nervous, and a little fearful. Not wanting her to feel anything but love, Bette decided to lighten the mood.

    "I thought for sure when you got to the number one you were going to sing that song to me, "one is the loneliest number."

    Tina let out a chuckle, feeling the tension leave her body.

    "I thought about it. It would have been another good choice."

    "Well, it’s good that you didn’t," Bette said, thinking her face wasn’t giving anything away.

    "And why would that be?" Tina asked, basking in the look of love on Bette’s face that she thought she was hiding so well.

    "Because, you aren’t."

    "Lonely?"

    "Not any more."

    "Awfully sure of yourself, aren’t you?" Tina loved it when they bantered back and forth like this.

    Pulling Tina close with one arm, and Angelica in the other, Bette nuzzled Tina’s ear.

    "Well, if you don’t believe me, I suppose I could give you seventeen reasons why I am so sure you won’t be lonely anymore."

    Wrapping her arm around Bette’s shoulder, and her other around Angelica, Tina place a soft kiss on each of their cheeks.

    "Baby, there is only one reason……..you."

    Leaning her head in and resting her forehead against Tina’s, Bette whispered, "I am in love with you Tina Kennard."

    Her eyes filling with tears of joy, Tina could only whisper back, "let’s go home."

    As the two women and their Angel, walked toward Shane, Bette looked at Angelica. "How do you feel about a little brother named Oscar?"

    "Hoss-err," Angelica repeated, clapping her hands with joy.

    9. Aww. My favorite too. I wish I could have seen something this compelling on the show. This was sweet..and when I breathed in at the end I realized it actually made me choke up. Thats some talent.

Actually, with all the vibrations emminating from Bette’s Blackberry, it was a different pop song that popped to mind: Michael Jackson (his voice never really did change, did it? with his 4 brothers on “Never Can Say Goodbye”Ev’ry time I think I’ve had enough and start heading for the door There’s very strange vibrations, piercing me right to the core It says turn around you fool you know you love her more and more Tell me why is it so? Don’t wanna let you go I never can say goodbye girl (never can say goodbye, girl)I’ve had a VERY long day, I’ll read the others tomorrow.

They are breath taking and are exactly how Tina feels about what has happened between the two of them. Oscar is not a favorite name of mine but is sounds wonderful as one of Bette and Tina’s children of the future. Keep posting, please.

    47. This too was my favorite followed very closely by your nc-17….Your writing captures true emotions. The way you express each characters feelings are amazing. Having Tina use special days in history and in their life’s was a work of a genius. And the scene at the end was perfect. I’m so glad that you chose to participate, I hope that you will continue writing after this and that your writer’s block is GONE!
