    five years after the fall of B&T

    She wrapped her arms around Bette and held her.  She kissed her slow and easy.

    Bette was smiling.

    Tina:  “What are you smiling at?”

    Bette:  “You, you are just so wonderful to me.  I can’t believe you are here with me.”

    Tina:  “Get used to it babe..”

    Bette:  “Ok, so dinner and then the Planet sound good to you.  I figure I’ll have Claire invite Sawyer and the four of us can go to dinner, and then meet up with the gang at the planet.”

    Tina:  “Sounds great, you can spend the day with Claire.”

    Bette:  “Well once Claire sees Sawyer again..I might be spending the day alone.”

    Tina:  “If that happens you call me and I’ll be right over.”  She laughed.

     

    Tina and Bette walked out to the living room.  Claire came out of the bedroom and met them in the hall.

    Tina:  “You guys have fun today, I’ll see you later Claire.”

    Bette walked her to the door.  She pulled her in for a hug and kiss, the kiss was one Tina would remember on her lips all day.

    Tina:  “Bye baby, have a good day, call me later and let me know what’s going on.”

    Bette:  “Ok, you be careful and don’t work too long.  I love you T.”

    Tina turned to head out the door.

    Tina:  “I love you too babe.”

     

    Bette watched her as she pulled out of the drive.  Finally out of her sight, Bette turned to leave the window.  She saw Claire watching her.

    Bette:  “Hi, I’m going to go get ready and we’ll go.”

    Claire:  “It’s ok Bette.”

    Bette:  “What’s ok?”

    Claire:  “The way you look at Tina, I can see the love you have for her.  It’s ok to let me see that.  I am happy for you.”

    Bette:  “Oh, are you really ok with it Claire?  I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.”

    Claire:  “I’m good, I promise.  Its wonderful to see that glow in you, your eyes sparkle and damn if you aren’t more beautiful than ever.”

    Bette:  “Thank you but it’s because of Tina you know. She makes me feel so complete.  I did the right thing coming back.”

    Claire:  “I know that now that  I’ve seen it.  I’m happy for you.”
