“Mom, Think Andy would have been a really good mum, just like you two. But when I asked her she said that they were going to be once and then a bad man hurt Rachel so they lost the baby and then the had not been able to try and have another one. But I don’t think they meant to lose the baby I think the bad man took it and they should be given another chance. But Andy says that they have both done some bad things since then so they can’t have a baby. But I think it would make Andy happy so I told her so Andy has very sad eyes a baby might make that better.”

We lay in each other’s arms just holding one another. We had told Katie that she should not ask Andy or Rachel any more and explained that it was probably best that they did not have a baby at the moment.
She didn’t seem to believe that we had told her all we knew, she is just to smart for her young age, and she can read when we keep things from her. But she seemed to realize that this was all we would say and went to bed.
I stood and watched her sleep for a while cherishing her and how much I had. All of a sudden the jealousy I had felt towards Andy when I first met her Early yesterday morning was gone and I felt such overwhelming gratitude for my family that it bought tears to my eyes.
It was late and I started to feel sleep approach me but before I could succumb I heard a light knock at the door as Angie came in to our room. She looked sad and Tina and I separated so she could sit between us.
“Mom Mama What Katie said tonight do you think that a man well that a manmaybe well raped Rachel?”
Angie was still my little girl and just the fact that she understood what that word meant, that she had to understand what it meant to rape someone, because of the world we live in made me angry.
