    Truth Be Told; #04

“I think we’re both professional enough to separate our private and professional lives,” Gen said without a trace of emotion on her face, “We have to solve this case. It might be best to just forget anything that happened.” Bette was relieved to avoid any sort of awkwardness, yet she was slightly disappointed, “I’m glad you feel that way,” she managed to reply.

Gen offered Bette a seat across from her as she sat down on her own plush leather chair, taking a swig of her coffee. “So what do you understand of the case right now?” Bette asked. “Well, I have to say,” Gen answered, flipping through her multitude of files, “That we have a damn good UNSUB on our hands. No traces of blood from either the UNSUB or the victim at the crime scene. No fingerprints or any sort of DNA left behind. All four bodies we discovered were painted completely white and their heads were tied back onto their bodies with a thick pink ribbon. This is twisted,” Gen shook her head, looking at the photographs of the crime scenes, “What do you think of it?” “The team got together last week and deduced that the UNSUB is most likely female because of the intricate way she kills and her attention to detail,” Bette explained, “Other than that, we believe that she is a quiet meticulous person who comes across as confident to her peers.” “That could be anyone in this office!” Gen said jokingly, “According to the files, all the four girls were somehow connected to NYU’s English Literature program. I guess that’s where we start looking.”

Gen looked up from her documents at Bette, trying to hide her mild disappointment. She had always been a workaholic at heart, and always tried to keep a professional front at all times, but at this point, it seemed so difficult because a part of her wanted time to rewind to that Saturday night. This is insane, Gen thought.

Shane and Helena walked into Gen’s office. “How’s it coming along?” Shane enquired, “I hope Agent Porter has been playing nice.” Gen smiled, “We’re getting along well, just thinking of heading to the NYU campus to have a look around.” “That would be a splendid idea,” Helena said, “You and Gen should go and see if you can get any leads. Report back if you find anything.” Bette picked up her notes, “My car is this way,” she told Gen, “I’ll drive.”

    1. I just found this and it is interesting. I always really like it when people have the vision to write something other than tibette fic #5000. I don’t think that every fic with Bette has to be a tibette. As I said this is a very interesting premise, as yet. What’s an UNSUB?

    2. I am with Caeleigh I like to see Bette with someone else other than Tina as well. I love this story from the very beginning and can’t wait to see where you’re gonna take us. Yes what’s an UNSUB?

    3. i think that we are all dumbfounded when it comes to what an UNSUB means.i like it oh gosh Bette stop being so mean be friendly after all you like Gen.
