    ”It’s more than a bit disconcerting to have something happen that’s so contrary to anything you ever thought defined your personality,” Bette admitted.

     

    ”But Bette,” Helena brought her hand up to her lips and placed a kiss on Bette’s fingertips. ”Wasn’t it just so fucking hot”

     

    ”Absolutely,” Bette replied. She felt her body responding to the desire in Helena’s voice.

     

    Helena moved forward tentatively.

     

    Bette felt no such need to be cautious. She pulled her hand from Helena’s grip and ran it down her side.

     

    ”I want you too,” Bette said. ”You don’t have to keep your desire to yourself any more.”

     

    Their lips made contact, and soon they were completely caught up in how their bodies and minds were requesting more of the same.

     

    ”I loved how your screams practically shook the walls down last night,” Bette said between kisses.

     

    ”In the past, you’ve only existed as a lover in my mind,” Helena replied. ”I could hardly believe you were better than what my imagination could conjure.”

     

    Bette paused in her actions for a moment.

     

    ”So, you’ve been fantasizing about sleeping with me?” she requested confirmation of what Helena had already admitted to multiple times.

     

    ”Bette, I’ve fantasized about sleeping with you, making love with you, fucking you and any other incarnation of a physical liaison that comes to mind, and it’s always been phenomenal,” Helena said quietly. ”But when you touched me for the first time last night, I knew I was in trouble.”

     

    ”I think we might both be in a little trouble,” Bette concurred.

     

    ”But I don’t care,” Helena said. ”As long as this is what I think it is.”

     

    ”And what do you think it is?” Bette asked, as her fingertips played across Helena’s brow.

     

    ”Something to cherish, however brief or long it may last.”

     

    Bette simply answered her with another kiss.

     

    ”Make love to me,” Helena asked.

     

    The request was a simple one, laced with hope, and moved Bette deeply. This woman, so full of passion, wanted her and only her. And she was glad to be able to offer of herself, and forget for a moment the betrayal that started it all.

    26. Some would say your Helena and the Helena on the show are alike, but I don’t think so. The one on the show seems so…herky jerky. We have no idea what happened to her over the last 6 months so it seems so fake that she’s suddenly nice. But your Helena is somewhat believeable.

Sure, opposites attract (Bette and Tina) but similarities stick… or so the saying goes. Besides, the way you write them, it’s completely believable! Probably would be on the show too, except so much is unbelievable there. Beautifully written, by the by, lyrical and realistic and very hot. I, for one, would hope you’d keep going with it, it’s got a depth and richness to it that you could continue to plumb. Great writing!

    37. The reason that this pairing works is due to your skill as a writer. Your Helena is a tad more subdued that the one from S2 but as passionate as Bette. She may be a more adventurous/accomplished lover than Tina which is certainly a turn on for Bette. It is certainly an intriguing idea. A friend of mine has this theory that Tina and Helena have been body switched on the show this season, so if you go with that theory this pairing makes perfect sense. Please keep posting this story.

    54. Not every couple is made for Forever but it doesn’t mean that they can’t be good for each other for a while. The way you’ve written these two so honestly makes me think there is some possibility of them bringing good moments for each other. Plus you’ll never know if you don’t give it a chance. How do you craft something that once would have caused my stomach churn, now make funny little summersaults instead? You’ve found that hidden something in both characters that makes this seem possible. Wonderful writing! Yes, VOTE TOMORROW! There seems to be a double standard when it comes to Bette cheating and with what Tina has done, which to me has not been very clear.     70. in regards to your sentiments on the vote tomorrow, i feel the exact same way. unfortunately the conservatives (right-wing) are ahead in the polls and right now the best we can hope for is a liberal minority government (left of centre). i’d like to take this oppurtunity to address my fellow citizens of this planet, especially us canadians. the equilibrium in which human rights exist is still so fragile; everywhere there are infringements, persecutors and violators to be found. tomorrow in canada, we have an opportunity to protect that equilibrium for another five years and electing a conservative government won’t do the trick. by virtue of being human, sharing this planet with bilions of other humans, we have a duty to stand for and stand with those in our global family who are being treated like anything less than that. i believe dignity and love are two things that exist in someone the moment they leave the womb, perhaps even before. those, like stephen harper, who would abuse their power and deny others the dignity in choosing how and to whom we express our love, should not be given power in the first place. girls, we’ve got the right to vote, we have the power. let’s wield it well.

It is so tantalizing to see what could be if only Bette and Helena would open up a little and trust their primal instincts. This is an equal pairing; equal in desire, in want, in ability, in abandonment, in intellect, in stubbornness. The greatest thing thins is to love and be loved in return and this is a magical premise for this marvelous melodrama. Bette and Helena have a symbiosis in know what to say and in how they feel about the rest of the world know this delightful little secret. Show me some more of this loving. This can be mutually beneficial as having to give and trust someone else gives you the freedom to follow your own heart. Hopefully this is a period of seclusion and regrowth for Bette and Helena. One where they are sheltered from the attacks judgment of their friends and outside influences. Maybe then their one true desire will ascend from life’s trivialities and force each to act.
