Returning to the work site from her walk, Bette was always amazed at how many changes Jodi could manage within a short period of time. Of course, the addition of the staff helped. Still, she could see visible changes that occurred in the few hours since Jodi had begun her work for the day and Bette had gone for her walk.
Not just a walk, but a walk and a chance to meditate. Bette had been using this time as she told herself she would, to become closer to Jodi.
This process included not just becoming closer sexually, if that were possible. The process also included learning to listen to Jodi and to defer to Jodi’s wishes.
This deferential manner was more difficult for Bette. Even thought it’d only been a few days since she’d arrived, she still found herself looking for a sense of inner peace that was lasting. She’d had moderate success assuming an accommodating mien for shorter periods, but even so she’d find herself struggling internally to not feel diminished by Jodi’s wants and desires.
Bette used these periods as Jodi worked to consider what she needed to do, what changes she needed to make, to make herself available to be a partner to Jodi. After all, hadn’t Jodi made changes, too? Hadn’t she adjusted her stance on monogamy? Of course, there was her acceptance of Angelica. If that hadn’t happened, Bette didn’t know what she would have done. While Bette was willing to make changes in some aspects of her life, she did not have flexibility when it came to her daughter. She knew that anyone who was interested in her would also have to accept her daughter; her daughter and her relationship with Tina.
Tina. Somehow these sessions always managed to swing to thoughts of Tina. And why wouldn’t they? Without Tina’s coaching, without her intervention, would Bette even be here? It was Tina that had pressed the need for a grand gesture. Tina had given Bette the external view so that she could consider the stance that she needed to adopt with Jodi. There would always in her life be Tina, the one woman with whom she would always share her daughter. Why shouldn’t her thoughts turn to Tina?

I can’t make anybody else read, but I’M interested. I’d prefer you continue. It’s not like you haven’t left yourself areas to explore, like why Bette’s mind keeps drifing from Jodi to Tina, and why Tina keeps pushing Bette to Jodi when she wants Bette.
I’m interested, too. I don’t need sex scenes for a story to be interesting (though I’m certainly not knocking them). I would be a hypocrite if I did; I have NEVER written a sex scenes. I think it’s brave to write them, but I also agree that it’s not fair to yourself or the characters to make it all about only that. Ok, I’m starting to rant, so in conclusion: I love your writing. Please continue. With or without sex, I’m reading.

First off, I’ll read whatever you write, pseud. I don’t need loads of sex scenes to enjoy a story. Oh, make no mistake, I *read* them, and like them, but I don’t *need* them. That’s what my overactive imagination is for. Good writing can take a slight hint and give me the push, then the basest part of brain does the rest, in Technicolor 3-D JPvision. As for the chapter, I do appreciate your exploration of the characters. I’m all for the subtleties of their individual struggles. I’m really enjoying this series of posts, and I’m hoping you continue with them (and LWH!). Thanks for the chapter, pseud. Stay true to your vision… I’ll be waiting to read it. Cheers
I agree with the rest of the gals. I enjoy everything you write and there is absolutely plenty to explore with the way you have set up and written this story so please continue. I know the comments fuel the writers fire so I will try and be better at doing that so that you know that we really appreciate your efforts! Thanks for posting psued and I hope there will be many more to come. Plus, I’d read your version of S5 anyway, it’s bound to better than the drivel IC and co will try and shove down our throats!!:)PPS
hey pseudI am currently writing a T&B sexual reunion. I do so not just for enjoyment but also because I started a story that actually would have me wait about a year before starting to explore what I find is the essential part of any B&T reunion which is the new balance of power that includes a much more equal feel to it . sexually and otherwise. I got overwhelmed with the effort that would go into writing new characters and keeping it all fluid to be too much of a challenge and now I have this story laughing at me, and it was a really nice story in my mind:-). So, the fact that you have the patience to dive right into the other part of B&T that revolves around more, from a literary perspective at least, complex issues, is a testamony to your longeivity and should be praised. I say hang in there and enjoy having so much on you mind to write about.

As to the interest level, I can’t speak for anyone else, but since I rarely take the time to read solely NC-17 chapters, you can be sure its not those chapters that keep me reading. (*Nothing against NC-17, not a prude, just have only so many minutes in the week to read, and I’d rather spend the time I have reading dialogue and character development moments.) So once again, thanks for writing!
I wish you would continue, there are lots of interesting possibilities and I would be interested in reading them.

Don’t worry about what people think, you should write the story you want to tell, not the story you think people want to read. Then your writing is more natural and honest, and readers will sense it and will come to appreciate it for what it is. Keep up with your story and your feelings.

There is always more to Bette and Tina than just sex. The time that they take thinking or watching the other is just as important as loving in a physical way.

Hey Pseud, I particularly love the balance that your terrific tale have. Yes, sex is a big part of life but it ain’t the only part therefore I am wiht you every step of these journeys exploring the lives of these characters. You breath air into every scene and manage to stay true to the fobiles of each gal. Thank you so mire for entertaining and enthralling me with your wonderful and wise words. This latest addition was so sad. Firstly Bette nagging thoughts of Tina but current committment to Jodi. I am not convinced that Jodi has changed that much. You know I’m most likely going to read it so that’s all that matters. *looking around* Okay, okay I’m kidding. BUG? That’s a new one to me. For years I’ve used GTG (gay till graduation, even though in the military it usually means “good to go”). I probably fell under the BUG category because I crushed hard on a female friend of mine although I was in a het relationship for most of my college years (2 relationships actually). I’m interested, I really could care let sex scence or non sex. They did do thing as a family beach ,walking shoppingtogether dishes , swiming every thing tha happen in a day in the life of a couple. keep on writing.
Mmm I just hate Jodi…plain as that…so I’d rather read about Tina and Bette, Tina and Helena, Tina and Kate maybe, but Bette and Jodi leaves me high and dry, sorry…but I like stories with or without sex scenes…and I really, I repeat hate Jodi so I don’t care what she does as long as its not with Bette or Tina…but I’m reading
