"You called her name in your sleep," Leigh said baldly. "It certainly puts our earlier activities in context."
"Leigh I’m sorry I can’t really talk about this now."
"Because you have to go pick up groceries at three in the morning. You sure know how to show a girl a great time Helena."
"Leigh I’m really really sorry. I promise I’ll make it up to you."
Leigh shook her head disbelievingly. "I wasn’t expecting grand passion Hel but at least your full attention for a few hours. And why is the incomparable Porter requiring your presence? Are you together now because you never mentioned it?"
"No. Not at all. It’s nothing like that. It’s just I’m the only lesbian mother she knows apart from her ex. New mothers…you know…"
Leigh was in no mood to make this any easier. "No I don’t actually," she snapped. Helena shrugged and looked so guilty that Leigh regained a little of her humour and suddenly grinned at her.
"So you were dreaming about colic remedies and diapers then? Perhaps you were dreaming that you had the colic. Might explain all the grunting and twitching."
Helena blushed to the roots of her hair. "I…wasn’t aware…Oh shut up Leigh. Look I’ll buy you breakfast okay? This won’t take long."
Leigh flopped back on the bed. "I’m going back to sleep and dream – maybe I’ll get as lucky as you. See you for breakfast."
"It won’t be that long."
"Whatever," Leigh mumbled as she snuggled back under the comforter.
Helena let herself out of her apartment and shivered in the chill early morning air. Her little car wasn’t much warmer. She leaned up, switched on the internal light and glared at her dishevelled hair in the rear-view mirror. ‘What am I doing?’ she wondered. Her body hummed with unsatisfied desire and her dream was still vivid in her mind thanks to the violent awakening. ‘Five more minutes,’ she grumbled. ‘That’s all I needed. Now I’ll be wandering around all day thinking about it. Oh God poor Leigh – I’m really not fit for human company. Perhaps I should get a dog.’

Poor Helena. It definitly wasn’t her night. Bette, say tah,tah to jodi. She doesn’t like kids. Trust me you either do or you don’t, its not like it will come to her eventually. Tina, go get your woman. Helena, sorry honey but B&T should always be together.
Glad to see you continue this story. Helena just needs to take a chance with Bette and see where it leads. If she doesn’t, Tina will do it first. PPS!
Great update. I’m enjoying this story more and more. As coop said “either you do or you don’t” and since Jodi doesn’t it’s time step back and save yourself alot of heartache. As for Helena she should just come clean with Bette and tell her. The worst that may happen she doesn’t share yor feelings, but at lest you can move on. And Tina, I can’t even go into that.

You know what I think? I think Bette is in love with Helena but just doesn’t know it yet. I mean letting her drive her car, calling her at 3am? Sounds like love, lol. But even if it’s not and Helena’s the only one in love I really like the friendship you’ve built between Helena and Bette. I love this story. Wonderful update. PPS.

Helena is crazy. Why fo to Tina to cry over Bette. Shoot if you can’t be with the one you love then love the one you’re with. Pretend Leigh is Bette. She might be sceaming the wrong name though.Can Bette be anymore insensitive. She should have had Jodi and her “I don’t like kids” go run around town. At least Jodi is getting the nookie. ARRRGGH.
Great update… I loved the chapter, Half, especially this line: “‘How dare you stand there looking serene and well-fucked when I’m a seething mess of unsatisfied arousal?'” Oh, Helena… And now she’s brought Tina into the mix! Please, post soon, Half.
Hey Halfofone, More delights at seeing a new post from you. Doing a happy dance now. What a mixed up mess Helena has become. Her fantasy to be with Bette is understandable. Pearicularly given the heat emminating from JB atm. The screen just sizzles when she appears. Poor Leigh really didn’t have a clue. It was interesting how Helena when to Tina as a voice of reason or was this to guage Tina’s reaction to the news of Bette getting sweaty and dirty with Jodi. I just re-read this again and had to comment. I’m completely biased and I love Belena, but…that said I’d rather really just have Helena happy. It would be interesting if Helena became serious about some one and Bette found herself slightly jealous. So we’ve got a square going on. Tina, Helena, Bette, and Jodi. Are we going to see a chapter from Bette’s point of view soon? And I should have mentioned this before but thanks so much for continuing this story. I’d hoped you would. PPS.
