    I want to worship your body…

    This is from Season 1 when Bette comes home and Tina tells her she is pregnant. What follows is my vision of what happened after Tine told her. 

    Bette arrives home. Tina is in the kitchen. Bette closes the door and turns to Tina as she walks in. Soft classical guitar music plays in the background.]

    Bette: I am fucking dying out there! These Philistines are just breaking my –

    [Bette sees the dinner table. It’s set for three people. Tina watches her for a reaction, but Bette hasn’t seen what’s sitting on the third plate.]

    Bette: No. Tina… you invited someone to dinner? (takes off jacket) I’ve had the worst fucking day, the last thing on earth I want to do is to have to make con –

    [Bette stops. She sees something sitting on the third dinner plate. Her expression warms as she goes to pick it up. It’s Tina’s pregnancy test stick with the positive result. She looks at it. Tina watches her closely.]

    [Bette looks up, an immense smile on her face. Tina smiles. Bette puts down the test and walks into the kitchen. She kisses Tina.]

    Bette: (whispering, in between kisses) I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.

    [Bette and Tina smile at each other. Bette’s eyes water.]

    Tina: I called Dr. Wilson and she said we should come in tomorrow, for an ultra-sound. (takes deep breath) (smiling) Just to confirm the results.


    Bette: I am sorry I was such an asshole.

    Tina: I’m sorry you had such a bad day. I’m sure everything is gonna be okay.

    Bette: Sure it will.

    Tina: Yeah. (smiling) We’re gonna have a baby.

    Bette: (whispering) (smiles) (eyes watering) We are. We are.

    [Bette hugs Tina.]

    Bette: (whispering) Oh. I love you.
    Tina: (whispering) I love you, too.

     The scene continues….

     

    Bette couldn’t stop touching Tina. All she could think about was what Tina was doing for them. She was volunteering her body so they could have children. Sacrificing her career so they could be a family. Bette slowly ran her fingers down the side of Tina’s cheek, sliding down her neck, slightly caressing her chest with the back of her middle finger. At the same time her lips were kissing Tina’s ear, causing them both to shiver with desire.

    1. GRRRRR…** arching brow ** PLEASE tell me this is not just one chapter!! This warrants more, more, more!!! GOD WOMAN that was one hot and steamy chapter! This is very familiar…hee hee. “Her tongue darted in and out of Tina’s belly button causing her lover’s knees to buckle.”All I’ll say in closing, is there is DEFINATELY a reason I love a woman who is in the kitchen cooking. Hee Hee. Thanks for sharing a hot, boiling, and steamy chapter. Now for the shower.

    5. Sea….Oh, so good to have you writing again. You have awesome talent. You seem so comfortable w/B & T. I distinctly remember this scene and thought it to be one of the most tender in all four seasons. IC has to have a stone cold heart to have this couple break up. IMO, JB and LuH were wonderful in this scene. I really felt their love and devotion. PPS.

    7. the love scene was definately missing from that episode…i wish we would get B&T loving in every episode because JB and Laurel are so good at it together LOL this was so sensual and said so much about their feelings

    17. OMFG! How did you know that was my favorite all-time L-Word scene? My wife makes fun of me for liking that scene more than “pilot sex”. I’m a hopeless romantic, that’s why! (Not that I have anything against sex, mind you.)

    24. Good thing I am reading this with nobody around. They would have thought that something was wrong with me because of all the noise coming from the computer room. NOT what you think, but it was hard to read without running to the shower. Glad you are gracing us with your writings even though they are only one chapter. Tell Jwet to finish her own story. We are hanging in the middle of a hurricane.
