Marina – Morning, Bette!

The beautiful woman replies with a European accent.

Marina – Congratulations again on your exhibit! It was spectacular!  

Bette – Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed!

She walks toward a table where Alice eats her breakfast and talks to a couple of women standing in front of her and holding hands. As the gallery owner passes by other tables, women congratulate her. She reaches Alice’s table and sits down.

Bette – Morning!

Alice – Morning, sleeping beauty!

She winks at the brunette who perfectly understands her insinuation. The two women standing in front of them congratulate the painter and leave.

Alice – How was your night? Did you sleep well?!

Bette squints feigning annoyance.

Bette – Very well, thank you!

Alice – And did you finally wake her up with a kiss, or being a voyeur is your new fad?

The brunette laughs.

Alice – Ahhh … sleeping beauty definitely woke up!

Bette – Your luck is that you always make me laugh!

Alice – That’s my life’s calling!

She smiles.

Alice – Has she left yet?

Bette – Uh-huh! She went back to the ranch.

Alice – When are you going to take me there? I need to interview her!

Bette – You can interview her here. She will be back!

Alice – Huh! Is this a change, I see? Are you ready to abandon your old ways?

Bette – I don’t know what you are talking about.

Alice – I haven’t seen you with a steady girlfriend since … forever!

The gallery owner shakes her head dismissively.

Bette – Weren’t we girlfriends, my friend?

Alice – And how long ago was that?!

The brunette looks pensive.

Alice – You couldn’t get over me, could you?

Bette laughs.

Tina’s office, afternoon: Tina enters her office.

Tina – Hi, Jen!

Jen – Hi, Tina! Welcome back!

The producer grins.

Tina – Thanks! How are things here?

Jen – Everything is good. Did you just arrive?

Tina – Yeah … directly from the airport!

She sits on her chair.

Jen – You look happy!

Tina – Do I?!

Jen – What a difference a couple of days makes!

Tina laughs.

Jen – How was the opening?
