If Tina could read Bette’s thoughts when she would occasionally glance in her direction during the 28 minute phone call she would know that Bette had her own what’s, why’s, and when’s.
What the fuck is going on here, why is Tina freely discussing her father with Dana when she couldn’t or wouldn’t talk to me. She spent the remainder of the 28 minutes attempting to stop her blood from reaching boiling point, it was a few degrees short when Tina finally ended the call.
“Sorry…..you know what Dana’s like once she starts you can’t shut her up” Tina apologetically offered.
“Really, because it didn’t sound like that to me” Bette didn’t attempt to hide that she was pissed. “In fact quite the opposite, I’m sure Dana is currently apologising to Alice because she couldn’t shut you up….and I’m also sure that Alice is wondering why you spent the best part of half an hour talking with her girlfriend instead of talking to your own….and you know what so am I”
Bette’s mini outburst surprises Tina who immediately goes on the defensive.
“Well maybe I should just call Alice and explain that my girlfriend is a cantankerous ass ….and I’m also sure she will be completely astounded to hear that having spent the day with your impression of Little Miss Sunshine” Tina’s tone was dripping in sarcasm.
“Oh that’s rich coming from Little Miss I’m fine, I’m considering having that engraved on your headstone, Here lies Tina Kinnard…I am no longer fine”
“Thankfully that won’t be your decision to make” Tina quickly retorted, spun on her heels and stomped into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her.
Upon hearing the unmistakable slamming of her apartment door she muttered “Here lies Bette Porter……I had to go”
Unfortunately for Tina the realisation that she had behaved like a total bitch from the minute Bette had walked through the door didn’t come quick enough as by the time she reached outside the only thing she caught was the sight of the tail lights on Alice’s car.
If Bette had looked in her rear view she would have seen Tina but the only thing she could see right now was red. As she made her way to The Planet for a much needed shot or two of alcohol she couldn’t help but feel sorry for the next person to even look at her the wrong way.

Excellent. Truly, truly excellent. Tina was a bit of an ass. She really should have given Bette the chance to say whether or not she wants kids. It’s not like EVERYTHING everyone says actually means something
