It was the next day at around 10:00 a.m. Shane was up and walking around. She had spent the night at Dana’s to make sure that she didn’t do anything crazy. She knew that Dana was exhuasted from the night before and didn’t want to wake her but she thought that it would be best to go to the hospital in the morning. Shane silently went into Dana’s room to find that Dana wasn’t in her bed. She heard a sound coming from the bathroom. Shane opens the door to see Dana against the back wall with a phone in her lap.

Shane: Dana?

Dana looks at her with tears in her eyes. Shane goes down to her level and sits in front of her.

Shane: Dana what is it?

Dana: I told you this would happen. I know what happens when people get sent away.

Shane: Dana what are you talking about who were you on the phone with.

Dana: I called the hospital that Bette put Alice in…

Shane: Please don’t tell me that she killed herself.

Dana: No she didn’t kill herself even though she has been refusing to eat sense she got there.

Shane: Then what is it?

Dana: She ran away and they have no idea where she is.

Dana broke down. And Shane took her in her arms.

Shane: Dana I’m sure she’s fine. I’m sure that she just had to get out of there but she’ll go back or she’ll be found but everything is all right.

Dana: What if its not? What if she gets hurt? What if she faints again cause she hasn’t eaten anything and someone takes her.

Shane cupped Dana’s face in her hands.

Shane: You have to think postively. You have to think that she is going to be found.

Just then the phone rang.

Shane: Hello?

Bette: Shane, it’s Bette. Look Alice ran…

Shane cut her off.

Shane: Yeah we already know Dana called the hospital this morning and told her.

Bette: How is she?

Shane looked down at the innocent girl that was using her lap as a pillow. She gently stroked her hair.

Shane: Not so good. Look I have to stay here with her but why don’t you and Tina go out and look for her. I’m sure she hasn’t gone far. And if anything she will try to get in touch with one of us.

Bette: Okay you jsut take care of Dana.

Shane: I will. Bye.

Bette: Bye Shane.

Shane: Dana why don’t I take you back to bed?

Dana: I don’t want to go to bed I want to be out there looking for her. She must be so scared. We have to help.

Shane: OKay Dana we will. Why don’t you go get changed and meet me in the living room.

Dana: We don’t have time she is getting worse by the minute we have to go now.

Dana gets up and graps Shane’s hand. She drags her out of the bathroom, out of her room, down the stairs, through the living room and to the front door. Dana opened the door to see Alice standing before her. Before anyone could say anything Alice and Dana embrassed as though there lives depended on it. And they did. They were both crying and hugging and kissing.

Dana: I will never let you go again.

Alice: Oh Dana I couldn’t stand it there please don’t make me go back.

At that time they both looked at Shane. The ball was now in her court. Should Shane call Bette and tell her that Alice is here and bring her back to the hospital or should she do what she knows is right?

Shane: Come one we need to get out of here.

Shane takes Alice in her right arm and Dana in her left and leads them both to her truck.

They get in the passenger side with Alice in the middle and Dana on the outside. Shane goes over and opens the drivers side door.

Shane: Bette is going to kill me.
