It was already early morning when George pulled up to Alice’s house. She quickly parked the car and shut off the engine. She was so worried about Tina she tried to get out of the car before taking off her seatbelt. “Ah *****…gerr..get the ***** off of me” she yelled as she franticly tried to unlock it. She freed herself and ran up the stairs to Alice’s apartment.

Alice was sitting quietly at the table staring out the window when Tina woke up.

Alice: “Hey…already awake huh? How are you?” she asked in a comforting voice.

Tina was still a little groggy, she looked up at Alice and started to remember what had happened the night before. She was quickly reminded of all the pain she had just gone through and the tears came back. Suddenly there was quiet frantic knocking at the door.

Alice: “Oh! She’s here” she said as she jumped out of her chair and ran over to the door.
Tina: “What?! Who’s here Alice?” she said quickly staring at the door.

As soon as she saw her sister walking down the hallway Tina burst into tears. George ran over to Tina and gathered her into her arms.

George: “Tina honey im so sorry. It’s ok, we’re here for you, you’ll get through this one way or the other.” she said holding her sister.
Tina: “How George?…..How could she do it?……I don’t….I just don’t….” was all she said before she started to cry too much to talk.

George held he sister tight while she wept. Alice and her were both speachless. George gave a quick glance in Alice’s direction. Alice stood there watching her friend helplessly then she spoke.

Alice: “Tina..maybe you might feel a little better if you take a hot shower.” she said walking over to the couch.
George: “That sounds like a good idea, come on. it will help”

Feeling defeted Tina shook her head and headed towards the bathroom. As soon as she heard the water turn on Alice ran to her phone. She quickly dialed Bette’s cell. She became incresingly frustrated when Bette’s voicemail picked up.

Alice: “Dammit Bette where are you? I would love to be a member of the non-partisan organization in this situation but you need to answer your phone!! Tina is here and she is falling apart. Call me back!” Alice hung up the phone and let out a huff. “What the ***** are we going to do George?”

George let out a deep breath and threw up her arms then sat on the couch.

George: “You know I really don’t know. I have never seen Tina like this, Untill I know what she wants I can’t help her.” she sat quietly for a moment, her gaze slowly going from the floor to the chart on the wall. She quickly noticed what Tina had tried to write the night before. She walked over to it trying to figure out what it said. “What does that say?” she asked pointing at Candice’s half written name “Is that the girl?”

Alice was staring at the ground with thaughts running through her head.

Alice: “Huh…oh, yeah…Candice….she is some carpenter Bette hired at the CAC. I never saw it, I can’t believe I didn’t notice anything. This is so bizarre.” she said still baffled by everything that had happened in the last 12 hours.
George: “Right, knowing Bette she probably went into work today cause shes crazy like that.” she said standing up.
Alice: “Your right she is crazy. She probably did go to work.”

Alice picked up the phone and dialed Bette at work. James confermed that she did in fact come into work this morning, but she wasn’t in her office.

Alice: “Yeah she went. What the ***** is wrong with her?” she said as she threw the phone on the table
George: “Im going to go talk to her. Tell Tina I will see her later. Should I meet you guys back here?”
Alice: “I think I may try to get her outside soon, she can’t stay cooped up in here all day and either can I. I’ll try and get her to come to the Planet”
George: “That’s that little coffee shop you guys hang out at right? I think I remember where that is. So I will call Tina after I talk to Bette” she said as she gathered her things to leave.
Alice: “Ok, ok….this will be fun…yeah…everything is…this is crazy…everythings just crazy”

George jumped in her car and headed strait for the CAC.
