With a little help from my friends-Chapter 36

    Bette: “Ok, love you”

    Tina: “I love you too”

Tina hung up the phone and walked over to greet her sister.

Tina: “So, I ordered some take out and it should be here in like twenty minutes or so. What do you want to do? Is there anything you want to talk about? Wanna play a game? Anything, whatever you want.”

    George: “Woah Tina, cool it”

Tina: “Sorry, you thirsty, want something to drink?”

George: “I don’t suppose you have any alcohol in the house”

Tina: “I do” she said walking over to the fridge “Newcastle?”

George: “Tina im impressed, all we need is the bealtes and it will truly be a girls night” she was finally feeling her mood start to lift. Being bombarded by so many memories of her teen years she couldn’t help but smile.

They enjoyed their dinner and sat around reminising about the past. Tina loved talking to George about when they were younger because she had such a vivid memory, she could remember every detail about a random summer day ten years ago like it was last week. George was slowly starting to realize that she missed home, she was loosing thoes memories of the good old days. Tina noticed George drifting away.

    Tina: “Where are you?”

George closed her eyes and sighed.

George: “Do you ever miss it?”

    Tina: “Miss what?”

George: “Home, thoes two years of absolute freedom after you graduate high school, thoes friends you swore you would be friends with forever, you know what im talking about” she said then stood up and walked out onto the back porch.

    Tina: “Where are you going?”

    George: “To smoke a cigarette”

Tina got up and followed her outside. George turned around and instructed Tina not to come outside. “Im not going to be resposible for that baby’s low birth weight” she said waving smoke away.

Tina: “Wow, I have never met a smoker who is a spokesperson for truth.com before”

George: “Yeah well I know what im doing to my body theres no hope for me but that little guy isn’t going to be the Steelers star running back if hes smoking two packs a day by the time he’s ten now is he.”
