Tina smiled as she heard Bette say “home”.  She couldn’t wait to get home too.  “Let’s talk to Peggy and maybe we can fly out later today or tomorrow at the latest.  We should call Kit and talk to her.  I am sure she is dying to hear from you and now that you have your memory back it will be a lot easier for you two to talk.” 

Bette got quiet for a moment as she thought about going home.  Tina saw the look in her eyes and asked “babe are you ok?”

Bette bit her bottom lip and replied “Yea, I was just thinking about all that has happened to me since I left and I don’t know.  T, I am not sure that I want to share all of this with everybody.  I am almost afraid to do it not really knowing what Peggy has up her sleeve.”

“Yea, I know what you mean.  She seemed pretty upset about all of this too and then she just got quiet.  I am not sure what she has planned for Jodi but let’s just say I wouldn’t want to be her when Peggy finds her.”

“Bette, we don’t have to tell anyone about Jodi.  Why don’t we just say that you had an accident driving to the village and leave it at that.  I don’t think the girls will question us on that.  They are just going to be glad to have you back.”  Tina leaned over and gently stroked Bette’s arm.

Bette thought about this for a moment and then nodded. “I think that is the best plan.  Let’s tell Peggy and Helena what we have decided and we will just leave the part about Jodi out.  No one has to know but us and that is enough.  Of course we will have to share it with Rachael when we meet with her but she will understand since she knows Peggy.”

They finished eating and went to find Peggy and Helena.  They all agreed that it was time to go home.  Peggy suggested taking all of Bette’s paintings with them on the jet.  They could store them at the gallery and maybe Bette could be persuaded to do her own show in a few months.  “Bette, you really are very talented my dear.  However, you may have to find a different subject now.  I think you might have enough pictures of Tina and Angie.”  They all laughed at Peggy’s humor.
