Would She? Part 2
Previously
In the end, Bette use the blade to cut away at her hair. Shane stroked Bette’s head and then her cheek, running her finger along the dark half moons beneath her eyes. Those half moons made her look like a cancer patient, and in some strange way, Shane supposed Bette was.
Bette wouldn’t look at Shane or any of the women; she just lay there, motionless, staring at the wall. Shane slipped off her jacket, kicked off her shoes, and climbed into bed beside Bette, wrapping her arms tight around her.
The others followed suit, each finding a small space to rest in and some part of Bette to hold. They prayed. They had all been there in some part of that shadowed place Bette had climbed into.
They understood that a broken heart could do this to a person, and there was nothing trifling or shameful about it.
Part 2
TINA
A sharp and painful memory that would never seem to wane or pale. It spilled from Tina in tears and kept her up at night, clutching her heart and rocking at the edge of her bed.
She thought she was dying, slipping away with every short breath she took. Some days her heart raced in her chest, and other times it didn’t seem to want to beat at all. There were night sweats, weight loss, and dizziness. She was sure she was dying.
“You’re not dying,” Dr Howard sighed, and shook his head.
Tina was seated on the examining table, her legs dangled beneath her as she stared at the doctor’s humped back.
“All of your tests came back fine.” He kept his back to her as he scribbled notes down in her file.
“You’re just anxious, that’s all.”
“What?” Tina spoke for the first time since she had disrobed and climbed onto the table.
“What did you say?”
Dr Howard turned around, and Tina had to resist the urge to laugh. His pale green eyes looked as large as eggs behind his bifocals.
Dr Howard scratched at his full beard and considered Tina for a moment before walking toward her.
“You have an acute anxiety condition.”
Tina looked down at her feet. She needed a pedicure. She curled her toes.

I so love this story. WOW!!!! I can not wait to read more. Thank you PPS
Don’t know what happened to the rest of my previous comment, But great chapter. At this point, I think Bette should go for Candace, which offcourse will hurt Tina when she finds out,but oh well.
It’s like reading your favourite novel over and over again, you know what is coming but you can’t stop reading it anyhow. Thanks for this experience.
I really really like this story, thanks for re-posting…
Just skimming at the moment to recommit the story to memory. This is better than I remember!
At least we won’t have to wait long between posts, since we know it’s already written! You know how I feel about Candace, anyway! I’m also skimming right now, but I will take the time to really read through because I remember so much liking this when I first saw it!
Add me to the crew that is just skimming along. I did not like that Bette hooked up with Candance but I kinda like their coupling in this story. Tina, I wish I could give her swift kick to her dumbass.
Everytime I read a good story, I guess more importantly a well written story it amazes me. You have tied me up again, waiting for more on wondering where you are going to take us on the new chapter…exciting, again!!
tina= dumbass
Wow… This just makes me wish this was a book so I could skip class and keep reading. Can’t wait.
My favorite person
Love this, and if you really pay attention the bouncing back and forth makes sense and brings it together. Will just have to wait for you to do it.
