You and me – Part four

“How did you get to know Shane?”, Carmen asked.

“That’s actually a funny story”, Tina started to tell.

“Alice, Bette and myself, were down at Santa Monica. We wanted to go out and see how the clubs are down there,” Tina consigned the word to Alice.

“We were walking down the pier and I was talking.” “Like always”, Tina interrupted her laughing.

“So funny T. Okay, where did I stop..yeah, I was talking and suddenly hardly crashed together with something and we fell together to the floor”, Alice told.

“And that something was Shane”, Tina explained to Carmen. Carmen just grinned and looked back to Alice.

“Shane was lying on top of Alice..and it looked so funny. I still can remember Als  face”, Tina giggled.

“Finally Shane get up, mumbled a sorry and left as fast as she appeared.”

    “Just totally Shane-like”, Tina added.

    Carmen nodded knowingly.

“A few hours later, we were on our way back home and there she was again. She was arguing with a man about something”, Tina went on.

Carmen noticed a sad look in Als and Tina’s face, but didnt asked.

“He bumped her to a wall and disappeared.”

At this time they didnt know what about Shane was arguing with the man, but they found out later.

Carmen was a little worried about what they told her, but didnt say anything.

“We went over to her and asked her if everything was okay. Her nose was bleeding and Tina grabbed a  paper tissue out of her bag and handed it to Shane”, Alice stopped and took a sip of her drink.

Tina would never forget the look at Shanes face. Like she wasn’t even worth it that someone handed her a paper tissue.

“After we saw that we couldnt do more for her, we just go home”, Alice told.

“At home I noticed that my purse was missing. I knew that I would never get it back, but Bette promised me to drive back to the pier the next day”, Tina said.

“But that wasn’t necessary. The next morning I was standing in the kitchen making breakfast and Bette called me to the window. There was the same girl from the pier standing in our front garden and was lying something on the stairs.”
