Shane walked over to Bette and enveloped her in a big hug.
"Bette you are strong enough- you are the strongest person I know, but you need to take care of yourself too. It’s probably been hard to only think about Tina’s needs and never about your own."
"I just want her back-all the way back and I was willing to do anything to make that happen."
"and now?"
"I don’t know Shane- I don’t know how much more I can do. Listen- I’m gonna go take a drive. Can you tell Tina I will be back later?"
"Bette- are sure you’re ok? Maybe you should talk to Tina first."
"Shane- I need some fresh air and some time to think ok. I will be back in a while."
"Ok I will tell her- call me if you need anything?"
"Ok- thank you Shane- you are a great friend."
Bette walked out of the house, got in her car and rove away. Shane didn’t know what to do. She decided to go and look for Tina. She walked in Angie’s room and Tina was rocking a sleeping Angie and crying softly. The scene absolutely broke Shane’s heart.
"T?" Shane whispered into the room
Tina looked up at Shane. She knew she should put Angie in her crib and go and talk to Bette, but she didn’t want to let her go. She didn’t want to face what she knew she should be facing.
"Give me a minute ok?"
"Sure- I just wanted to let you know that Bette went out for a bit and wanted me to tell you she would back a little later."
This caused Tina’s tears to flow a little heavier.
"Ok thank you Shane"
"I’m gonna head home- but call me if you need anything."
"Thank you Shane- sorry to do all this in front of you."
"Don’t worry about me- just worry about you and your family ok?"
"Ok"
Shane left the Porter-Kennard house and was feeling so bad for her two friends. She could see both sides and unfortunately there was no easy decisions or easy fixes.
Tina eventually put Angie in her crib. She walked around the house without purpose. It was amazing how lonely and dead the house seemed when Bette was gone. She needed to figure out how to make things right. She was just trying to be honest with Bette, but she understood how her words and actions hurt Bette. Tina finally decided that she needed to go to Bette and talk. She called Shane and asked her to come and watch a sleeping Angie. Shane came right over and Tina was out the door. She could have called Bette to see where she was, but she had an idea of where she would be. Tina drove for 30 mins thinking over everything that had happened in the past month. She was looking forward to her doctor’s appointment next week to hopefully get an update on her condition. She finally arrived at her destination and sure enough saw Bette’s car in the parking lot. She parked next to Bette’s car, hopped out and headed onto the beach. It was a beautiful afternoon, but the beach was empty. It was amazing to think that the two of them were here just a few days ago- happy and so close. Tina looked up and saw a small figure sitting with their legs tight against their chest. She could tell instantly that not only was this person Bette but that she was bawling her eyes out. Tina picked up her pace to get to Bette faster. She slowed her pace as she got closer wondering how she should approach her. Tina’s heart ached as she looked down at the brunette sobbing on the beach and the worst part was that she was the one who cause Bette’s this pain. Tina stared down at her for what felt like an hour before she broke the silence.

Uhhhhhhh, my heart is breaking. When will Tina get her memory back and when she does, will this story end???????? Fantastic update. Very intense. PPS
Yes, the chapter is intense and so is the storyitself. butit is necessary for the characters to go thru this drama for Tina to regain her memory. At least they have not stopped talking things thru which is also necessary to the process for Tina to get her memory back. Great update. Thanks for posting.
wow… i feel for them both… i know once tina gets her memory back this story might be done… but you could always build on it… glad they are still going away… they need to talk it out… great update…pps
Thanks for the update. Their struggle is really heartbreaking but it seems like they’re communicating better and that will help a lot.
I think the key is for them to talk as it is always their issue…and perhaps if they talk about it all Tina’s memory will come back she is blocking….How happy were they just before the accident…we do not know really, they need to talk about it all…”I’m just saying”
the key is that they continue to talk -at least now they’re trying to understand what the other is going through & thats progress. great chappy! thanks and post soon

Man, this is hard on both women. They love each other but fear what may come towards them in the future.
