Honey and the Moon – (Chapter: Chapter Four: They Don’t Love You Like I Love You.)
Chapter Four
The house was dark and lonely. I didn’t want to turn on the lights because I knew it looked like a hurricane had gone ripping through the house, leaving a mass of dirty dishes and laundry in it’s path. There was still almost two full months left of summer, and my mom wasn’t expected home until school started again. I made a mental note to clean the house in the morning, and made my way upstairs in the dark.
I found my room, and turned on the lights. That was a mistake. Cds and DVDs were littered all over the floor, clothes were everywhere, empty pop and beer cans took over every surface, and both of my ashtrays were overflowing. I found a Tool cd in the mess, threw it in the stereo, grabbed a half joint out of the ashtray and finished it off. I walked over to my cell phone. Nothing from Spencer. I turned it off, turned off all the lights, stripped down to nothing and tried to go to sleep.
When I finally woke up the next morning, all I could think about were the events of the night before. Would Spencer call me and tell me she loves me? Would she listen to me if I called her? I needed some expert girl advice, so I called my best friend Bailey.
Bailey and I have been friends for ages. Her dad was the drummer for the band my dad was in. I hadn’t seen her for a while, she dropped out of school last Christmas to play bass in a tour across Europe with some lame nu-metal band. I knew she was back cause she called me the week before saying we needed to get together, and she had tons of stories to tell. I called her up, told her to come over, told her my mom was gone for the summer, and she asked if she could come and stay with me for a while. The house is huge, so I told her it didn’t bother me. We said our goodbyes, and she said she’d be there after she packed up her stuff.
Part of me was happy Bailey was going to spend the summer at my place. The other part, not so much. She totally had a way with the ladies, and I don’t like competition. Any time me and Bailey have fought in the past has been because of a girl. I really didn’t want her to get any ideas about Spencer.

I wonder what’s going to happen, like is Spence on lock down or over it? PMS!
