    Author Notes:

    When i calm down i hand her the piece of paper.

    Everyone in the car look at me, thats why i hate crying in front people. 

     

     Mr C pulls the car over into the nearest layby, i get out of the car and ask only Spencer to get out with me.

     

     ’Whats the matter baby?’ Spencer asks and pulls me into a hug, which only makes me cry harder.

     

     When i calm down i hand her the piece of paper.

     

     ’Your dads car, is my dads old car’ i tell her and start crying again.

     

    ‘When i was little, my dad used to be away alot, so we wrote notes to eachother and hid them under the front seat of his car, and thats what that is’ i tell her pointing at the paper i had handed her. 

     

     ’The day before he died i wrote him a note, and didnt think he saw it’ i say, as i start to cry again.

     

     Spencer unfolds the paper and reads what is written.

     

     It reads

     ASHLEY, MY BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL, BOTH YOU AND KYLA ARE MY ANGELS, AND JOSH OF COURSE IS MY LITTLE SOLIDER. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO ON SATURDAY? I LOVE YOU SWEETHEART. DAD XX

     

     ’I dont know what to say babe’ Spencer says to me.

     

     ’Dont say anything, just being with you is comfort enough’ i tell her. ‘can we just go home please, im nt up to going to Madisons now, my house or yours, i dont mind’ i ask her.

     

     ’Yeah, can we drop off Kyla and Glen off at Maddies first?’ she asks.

     

     ’Yeah thats fine’ i say as we walk back to the car, we both get in.

     

    ‘Are you ok Ashley?’ Kyla, Glen and Mr C all say at the same time. 

     

     I really hate people seeing me cry, coz they get like this, and i dont like attention when i feel like crap, unless i ask, and right now only Spencer makes me feel better.

     

     ’I will be, Me and Spence are going home after we dropped you guys off, if thats ok with you Mr C? i ask.

     

     ’Yes Ashley, of course. You can come back to our house and i will cook you both my homemade mac and cheese’ he says to me as he starts the car.

    1. Finally read this. Sorry it took awhile. Still some language things…like fag her is a term used to be mean to gay people. i know thats not what it means there, and i hope others do as well. Anyway, I like how your bringing spashley along and how ur writing about Raife. although you called him Raife Davis their lastr name is Davies. Good job!
