She Changed My Life – (Chapter: Out in the open)

’Spence, theres something i didnt tell you’ i say to her.

’What is it Ash?’ she asks, looking worried.

’My dad, he was a famous singer in a band called purple venom. His name was Raife Davis, and that song your dad liked, well that was my dad. Im sorry i didnt tell you sooner’ i say to her.

’Ash, dont worry about it, im glad you have told me, its not gonna change how i feel about you, so theres no need to worry, and all that matters is you have told me now’ She says.

Im so glad shes ok with it, but i still feel really bad i didnt tell her sooner, and im only telling her now because of whats happened, i mean she told me about Alyssa and i didnt tell her about this. Im gonna tell her the whole story, about how he died, and what happened to my family after he was gone.

’Spence, im going to tell you everything ok, and i will do from now on. I love you’ i tell her.

’Ok babe. I will tell you everything too. I love you Ash, and always will’ she says and gives me a light kiss on my cheek.

We get comfy sat on Spencers bed, she has her arm around me pulling me close to her, and im leaning my head on her shoulder.

’I will start with the notes’ i say and look up at her. She nods and gives me a kiss on top of my head.

’The notes were mine and my dads thing, he had a thing with all 3 of us, with Kyla it was a song, so when they heard it they would always think of eachother, and with Josh it was building things, i remember when Josh was 7, dad had just got back from being away for 3 months, they built a fort in Josh’s bedroom, and we all slept in there, me, Kyla, Josh, Mum and Dad, that was a great day. Didnt have many like that as dad was always on the road, never back home for more than 3 days at a time. So our notes were our way of keeping in touch. The last one i wrote him was the day before he died, so didnt think he saw it, because he was not due back till the friday, which is the day he died, and i put it there on the thursday, but he must have come home while i was out, and left the note then’ i tell her, my eyes watery, and i have a lump in my throat, but i carry on.

Anyway, I like how your bringing spashley along and how ur writing about Raife. although you called him Raife Davis their lastr name is Davies. Good job!
