    Author Notes:

    Bette had woke up and Tina confronts her about the accident. Does she remember? Kit and Alice visit Bette in the hospital, than say goodbye. Now what lies ahead for Bette&Tina…?

                          Chapter 10

     

     

      Bette opened her eyes and looked around the room. Then she looked over at Tina. Her mouth opened and she tried to speak, but the words wouldn’t come. Finally with a raspy voice she said to Tina, “Where am I?”

     

     Tina could hardly speak, but this time tears of joy caused the lump to form in her throat.

     “Bette,” she became filled with happiness as she wiped away tears. “You’re in the hospital.”  Bette’s puzzled look became more confusing. “You were in a car accident, do you remember?”

     

    The look on her face indicated she was trying to remember, but failed “No,” she whispered, “no.”

     

    “Its okay,” Tina held Bette’s face in her hands then leaned in and kissed her softly. “I’m so happy, you’re okay,” she smiled. “I should call the nurse. Just relax, everything is fine.” She called for Margaret, who came in right away.

     

    “Well, well,” she said entering the room smiling. “Look who’s awake.”

     

    Bette looked at her and again at Tina, you could see the look of bewilderment growing in her eyes.

     

    “It’s okay dear,” Margaret said, “I know how confused you must be right now.” She took Bette’s hand. “You don’t have to worry, were taking good care of you. And this one,” she looked at Tina smiling, “she hasn’t left your side.”

     

    Bette looked at Tina, a tear slid down her cheek. Tina never said a word just brushed it away and stayed close to her. Their eyes became locked on one another for a moment.

     

     “I’m going to call Dr. Chambers now,” she said still beaming. “She will want to come in and do an assessment. You just rest until I get back, okay?”

     

     Tina looked away for one second to thank Margaret and then turned her eyes back to Bette. She sat down on the bed with her, “Are you feeling alright she asked?”

     

    “I’m notsure” Bette struggled to say. “I’mnotsurehowIfeel.” It took time for her to get the words out. Her body trembled as she tried to talk. “I don’tknowwhathappened. Ican’tremember.”

     

    “Bette,” Tina whispered. “Its okay, tell me something you do remember.”
