    Author Notes:

    Bette had woke up and Tina confronts her about the accident. Does she remember? Kit and Alice visit Bette in the hospital, than say goodbye. Now what lies ahead for Bette&Tina…?

     

    “I remember you” she said.  She managed a little smile. “But, I don’t know what day it is.”  Her words dragged.  She was still groggy and disoriented.

     

    “It’s Friday morning, almost 5am. I need to call Kit, she said with joy. Oh God, she will be thrilled to know you’re awake!”

     

    “Kit?” Bette asked.

     

    “She and Alice are back at the villa.”

     

    “Thevilla?” Bette looked so confused.

     

    “Bette, we are in Italy,” Tina replied.  Bette had a look of disbelief.

     

    “Kit and Alice came here after the accident.”

     

    “Tina,” Bette’s voice rattled, “how long have I been here?”

     

    “The accident happened two days ago.”

     

     Bette’s face became tired and confusion took over, she started to cry. She had no memory of it. She lay there trying to recall anything. It was all a blur. Tina just held on to her reassuring her every thing would be fine.

     

    “I can’tremember.” She paused. “Tina, I’m really tired,” she said. “Can I rest a few minutes?”

     

    “Of course,” Tina said, standing up from the bed. “I’m going to call Kit.”

     

    Bette nodded and closed her eyes to sleep.

     

     

    Kit lay staring at the clock. Alice has managed to fall asleep from shear exhaustion. Kit just prayed Bette would be okay and then the phone rang.

     

    “Kit, it’s Tina. She’s awake! She woke up Kit!”  Tina cried, “She’s going to be okay!”

     

    “Thank God!” Kit yelled out in joy. “How is she?”

     

     “She’s good, Kit. She hasn’t said much. It’s hard for her to talk. I told her about the accident. She doesn’t remember, but I think that’s normal. The doctor hasn’t been in yet, but she’s on her way,” Tina continued to ramble on.

     

    “Kit called out to Alice, Bette’s awake!  We’ll be there soon,” she said. She laughed out loud. Alice bolted from bed and she and Kit danced around the room.

     

     

      Bette stared toward the window. She calmed herself and began going over things in her head. She tried to remember what ever she could, but her head ached from it. Tina popped back into the room with the good news that Kit and Alice were coming soon. Bette gave her a little grin and turned away.
