    I have to have her. Ch 5

    Bette’s POV

    “Wow!” It is the third time my best friend Alice has uttered this word.

    “So now what are you going to do?” She asks.

    “I have no fucking idea Al, I have never been so completely and utterly helpless at the hands of anyone before. I am .defenseless right now.”

    I put my head into my hands and close my eyes. I am so confused right now. All I see behind my closed lids is the perfect picture of a blonde beauty that immortalizes the essence of perfection.

    When I finally look up, Alice is looking at me with concern.

    “Hey Bette, want another drink? I think we both could use another.”

    “Okay”, I reply, “but make it a single this time. I need to think clearly okay?”

    “Sure, I’ll be right back.” Alice heads over to the bar.

    As Alice nears the bar, my sister Kit comes out of the back. Kit is part owner of the planet, and as so, likes to keep her eye out for her “family” as she calls our little group who hang out there.

    “Hey Alice, how you doing tonight? You and my baby sis looking to hook up with some “fine” ladies tonight?”

    Knowing how guarded Bette was with her private life, Kit knew asking Alice, she would get all the information she wanted.

    “No, not tonight Kit. Bette is a little out of sorts tonight.” Alice says guardedly.

    “She okay? Should I go talk to her?” Kits tone now taking on concern.

    “No, I think she’s okay, but I think we all may be in for a surprise here shortly. If what I think is happening, really is happening!” says Alice with a crooked grin.

    “Girl, what the hell you talkin’about?” “Is Bette okay, or isn’t she okay?” Now worry was starting to surface in Kit.

    “I am pretty sure she’s okay Kit, but I’ll have to let you know for sure later. Okay? Trust me, Have I ever given you reason not to? NO. Wait, don’t answer that. Alice smiles at Kit and takes their drinks back to the table.

    “Okay, here you go Porter. Now are you going to tell me more about this “Hot” blonde?”

    1. And cdn, we need more than a google search! Re: your disclaimer, having watched that silly TV show last night, I’m not sure IC deserves any more respect than she shows her own characters. They get treated better here and we should petition for custody. Bette’s so far gone she gives Alice the Death Grip?

    4. I am now reminded of a picture someone once had in their signature at a gaming forum. It was the Pulp Fiction Samuel L. Jackson pointing his gun and the phrase “Google it Muthafucka” was plastered on the picture. SO anyway, Bette needs release huh? Does she need to expell gas as well?

    9. Come on , longer please. Now which one will be the first to contact the other. Tina started it, but I do believe Bette will be the one to make contact again. Love this, and Alice as always cracks me up.
