    Loss, Life and Love 7

“Life goes on, right Dana?” Bette whispered.

It had been two month since Tina and Bette had talked at the park. Both women were trying very hard to let bygones be bygones. Tina let Bette have Angelica on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Tina had her Sunday-Wednesday. This schedule worked for both women and Angelica seemed to like it as well. Bette and Tina usually had coffee at the planet almost every morning. It was just like the old days. The gang had moved on with life. Dana’s presence was always still strongly felt. Bette’s gallery was scheduled to open that Friday night.

“Okay Bette, I think it is done. I hope you like it. It was hard to do such an important job. Come on let me show you.” Candace said.

They walked to the last section of the museum. It was the last section to be finished. Candace had worked almost day and night in order to get it right. Her new girlfriend, Alex helped her every step of the way. Bette liked Alex, she was good for Candace. Bette stopped in her tracks.

“Oh my God. This is incredible. It is exactly what I had in mind.” Bette said as she entered the memorial she had sketched for Dana. “The L Word?” Bette asked as she pointed up to the words above the doorway.

“Look through it Bette, then ask me any questions.” Candace suggested.

Bette walked into the doorway and the first picture she saw was Dana losing a match in the beginning years. Bette remembered that match. Dana was so disappointed. Above that picture was the word LOSS. The next picture was Dana doing her crazy dance moves that put an immediate smile of Bette’s face. The words above that one read LIFE and the next picture had the whole gang right after Jenny moved in and the word LOVE was above that. There were pictures of Dana playing tennis, winning the big match, pictures of her and Alice, her and Bette, her and Lara. It was the most remarkable tribute to her friend. At the end of the memorial was a book titled “Who the L was Dana Fairbanks?”

    1. I kept thinking about the earring too. I bet the memorial was lovely. I have a feeling that Tina will walk out and get cold feet as soon as she sees Henry and Bette will be left alone.

    2. I have no idea what I have planned. I like to read your comments…ponder it…and sit down and begin writing. I try to see which avenue the readers want.

    3. This new Bette is awesome and Tina won’t get another chance. Tina knows she loves and wants her. The girls have told her to get her act together, now Bette is putting her foot down, no room for misunderstanding.Tina, grow up and take care of your family. It would be appalling if Tina actually believed she could screw Bette on the conference room table and go home with Henry. Friends don’t do that to each other, especially when you know the other is as emotionally invested as Bette is. If Tina can’t leave Henry and come to Bette I’d question Tina’s friendship. Put the girls back together.

    4. To azmama– Get out of the tree Henry and set your self free (ha, ha). I think it is more health and a better sign for Tina to leave Henry with a clear counsious rather being (as in other stories) prevoked by him beating her or putting Tina out. This way Bette knows and is reassureed that Tina came back to her and their family out of her own free will and desire to rebuild their family together.

    5. Great …Tina really needs to go find Henry…Smile sweetly maybe even a peck on the cheek…AND DUMP HIM…sorry dont mean to be cruel…but..thats just the way it is….This was how it should be!

    6. Bette is one smart lady, Lets see how smart Tina is?????? Lets see if she has hot or cold feet. Dana roon sounded so beautiful.Lara and Alice loved it thanks

    7. i hope tina choses bette of course…but i’m afraid we’re in for some dramam…and i also afraid that if tina will chose henry, bette won’t forgive her as easy…so Tina better chose Bette
