    A night out, or a night in?

    I wish CH5

    Bette arrived in New York early enough to check in to her hotel and then check out a few galleries on Madison Avenue. She loved the artist community in New York. The diversity, and quirkiness of the art and the artists, along with the challenges both could present.

    It would do her shattered heart good to be here for a few weeks, away from everything and everyone. Here she could have the imminent breakdown she had been holding off. But not today. Today was about her, Art, and fun. Tomorrow was soon enough to fall apart.

     

    "You can’t Tina. All you can do is read and reread the options in this envelope and do what is right for your daughter and for yourself. Right now, Bette is doing what she needs to do for herself. You don’t have any say in that. But think long and hard about this. And don’t let others influence your decision."

    "If you mean Henry, that’s not a problem. I ended it with him in Whistler before I…"

    "Before you what Tina?"

    "Before I read Bette’s letter."

    "What letter?"

    Tina opened up her bag and pulled out the neatly written letter and handed it to Helena.

     

    Bette had a quiet dinner in her room. She relaxed and had a short nap and now was refreshed and thinking of the night life New York had to offer. The last time she had been here she hadn’t spent the night by herself, but she had still been very much alone. This time will be different she coached herself, this time I am single. Very, very single. With that she grabbed her bag and off she went for some much needed fun.

     

    "Wow Tina. That was a very difficult letter to read, and I wasn’t even involved with her. I can’t imagine what strength it took, and how much pain she must have been in to write that."

    Tina looked at Helena, she hadn’t thought of the pain Bette must have been in to write that letter. She had only thought of the pain she felt while reading it.

    "I never thought of that. I know it tore my heart open to read it. And I didn’t really believe she meant it, until today, until this."

    1. Petra sure seemed lively for an abandoned ancient city carved out of a cliff face. But if Bette is taking her back to her room she must be beautiful, not unlike the city. Here’s hoping Bette doesn’t find a lot of sand stuck in her crevices. And Tina? Well, yeah, she needs to figure a bunch of shit out.

    3. I just loved that flirty sassy Bette. The alpha woman reigns supreme. Just like riding a freakin’ bike, oh, yeah, Bette. Tina sounds so whiney, hand-wringing, wishy-washy. Not attractive traits. Great story.

    4. lol…funnyone you are crazy! I really think Bette needs this…get back her self esteem and have a little fun…she has been crying and down trodden for far too long. I hope Petra can hang…cause it’s been far too long for Bette…Will Tina find out Bette is in NYC and come talk to her? She better bring her A game if she does. And she better be sure this is what she wants.

    5. Oh my, this is very intriguing, not to mention well written. :) Very snappy and suggestive dialogue. Your flowed really well between Bette and Petra, leaving just enough to the imagination. I suspect they’ll both have a night they won’t soon forget. And hopefully we will too, if only vicariously. LOL

    6. I agree with azmama, I love the sassy, flirty Bette. Petra must be very attractive for Bette to accept her advances, otherwise I think she would have thrown the drink in her face! lol!

    7. Alright, Bette! You go girl! Enjoy yourself, cuz I have to agree with Seahurst… there has gotta be some drama for ya mama! I am happy to see my favorite Alpha in action. Now, I just have one request…Well… errr…uhhhhm…. can I stand in for Petra for the rest of the night? *grinning from ear to ear* I love this update and I am SO feeling Bette! Don’t worry, Bette. I’ve got your back. You’re my girl always and forever…no matter what! As for Tina, stay the hell away from Bette until you know what the frick-n-frack (*laughing* I say that instead of f*ck. I have a mini me running around the house repeating things she’s heard mommy say)you want!

    13. Is it wrong that I’m SO excited to see Predator Porter again? So hot… know I wouldn’t mind being preyed on… I mean, I know, I know… I’m cheering for a happy TiBette ending, too, but I can’t help but be really pleased with this side of Bette. Alpha at its finest, ladies and… ladies. Fabulous.

    19. Someone mentioned the suggestive dialogue. I agree, and while Bette and the twink dancing was pretty hot (the sex was just asi-asi) in ep. 204, the scene you gave us was much better. Bette didn’t need to be drunk and she didn’t need to start off in the lead to get the girl. Yet toward the end she turned the tables stone cold sober and got what sounded to me like a beautiful mature woman instead of some random kid. *pause* I say go for it. Bette needs a good lay.
