    I Wish CH 17

    Early morning in WeHo.

Bette drove slowly through the familiar neighborhood. She slowed more as she passed the home she had given up such a short time ago. She looked longingly at the front door and wished she could just pull into the driveway and go through the front door.

On the inside of the house, the blonde woman noticed a new SUV pass by the house for the second time. She ached to go out onto the porch and wave the beautiful woman to come in, but thought she would be refused yet again. She opted to watch, hidden by the curtains as the car drove up and down the street.

Bette sat in her office lost in thought. Once again all thoughts were of Tina and Angelica. Although at this point in time, she felt a lot more secure about her role in her daughters life, and her thoughts tended to be more of her daughters mother. It frustrated her that only weeks ago she had put it all behind her, or she had tried to put it all behind her. And then with a few short conversations, not even good conversations, she found herself unable to not think about Tina.

"What happened to moving on without her?" she mumbled. Her heart answered for her.

Without her, there is no where to move on to.

After a long day at the studio, Tina didn’t feel much like cooking. Plus without someone else to cook for, it wasn’t as enjoyable as it once was. Angelica still wasn’t at the point in her development where she could or would eat the same foods as her mother, so Tina opted to go to the planet for dinner, and get her daughter the macaroni she loved so much.

When she got there after picking Angelica up from the daycare, she tried to find a table in the crowded restaurant. Not seeing one available, she decided to get take out and just go home. She ordered their dinners and then sat at the counter waiting for her order with her daughter in her lap..

"Excuse me? Is this seat taken?"

"Uh, no go ahead, sorry I’ll move this stuff." Tina grabbed the bag holding all of her daughters immediate needs, and placed it on the floor beside her.

    1. Hey CDN! Sweet post!!! There’s nothing better than a gallant Bette and a shocked Tina; and yes, they do need to spend some time together with no hostility. It was great how Bette came to Tina’s “rescue.” It’s no wonder Tina was stunned with all the “babes” Bette threw her way. That would be enough to put me in shock! Great chapter! Thanks CDN! More please!

    2. I am glad that you are able to post more. This story is full of emotions on both parties and yearning that is within each woman is painful at times. At least they are coming to some understanding that there is no one else but the other woman for them.

    3. WOW…I love this…a quick turnabout and hopefully a turn in the right direction. I thought it was cute how Bette was driving up and down the street. More please.

    4. Hiya CDNGal, Good to see that old habits die hard as Bette is so protective of Tina and Angelica. The interloper really got a run for her money as Bette laid her cliam to her parnter and child. It is just a pity that Bette wasn’t able to build on it and tell Tina how she was really feeling. I can understand Tina’s disappointment at this and why she let it go. For now is what I would add because these women are two halves of the same soul and only together are they complete. It is torturous to see them making these baby steps towards one another but hopeful as the motion in towards each other and not part. CDN you have a wonderful lyrical flow to your words. Thank you so much for sharing them with me. Your Loyal Fan.
