    Alice: Like you are you sure? You’re positive you want to go on a date with me because you don’t have…

    Helena: God damn it Alice I like you!

    Alice raised her eyebrows.

    Helena: I cannot believe we are having this conversation here right now, so unromantic.

    At that all the girls burst out laughing, even Helena and Alice. And that was the beginning to a great day for all the girls. Through out the time, Tina and Bette would get in the water and get out then grab Angie and go back in. The three of them had a blast. Until it was time to leave.

    2:36p.m., May, 19th, 2010

    They were all heading back to their vehicles when Bette’s cell phone rang out in her pocket. She looked at the caller i.d., P.Peabody…

    Bette: Hey Peggy.

    Peggy: Hello my dear, I’m going to need you back here right away, we are having a few problems.

    Bette stopped walking and stood.

    Bette: What?

    Peggy: The exhibit is going to be closed if you don’t get on a plane today or at least tomorrow morning.

    Bette: You can’t be serious.

    Tina turned around and watched Bette’s expression turn fierce.

    Bette: I’ll get on a plane tonight.

    Tina shook her head no as the girls stood watching.

    Peggy: Thank you Bette, I’ll see you in the morning.

    Bette: You can count on it.

    Bette ended the call and turned to Tina.

    Bette: My exhibition is going to be closed if I don’t go home tonight. I should only be there a few days.

    Tina: You just got here.

    Bette: I know, but don’t worry I’ll be back in a bit. I promise.

    Bette walked up to Tina and hugged her. Tina didn’t know why she was so upset over this but she really didn’t want Bette to go, she had a really bad feeling about it.

    Helena: Want me to come with you?

    Alice: Are you nuts?

    Helena: I’ll be back in a few days. Just as Bette will.

    Bette: That’s a good idea. You’ll be a good help. I have to head to the hotel and get ready.

    1. That like putting a puzzle almost together. then tearing it apart. Do Bette want Tina are just Angie? someone should spin her head around and let her see where she has been. thanks

    2. Look, first you get them together, then Bette has to rush back to N.Y., now she’s flirting with the pilot. Bad idea. Bette needs to go take care of business and get back to what she set out to do, which is getting her family back. Messing around is what got her in trouble in the first place.

    4. WTF!!! First Bette wants Tina back, now she wants to be best buds. She doesn’t date for how many years, now she wants to see other people. Don’t get it!!! She should have left Tina alone.

    7. BJ, I love the pace of your story but I can’t help thinking that the end of this chapter is at complete odds with what you’ve led us to believe is Bette’s intent from the chapters you’ve posted already. Though a tad aggressive in her opening comment, I do agree with Catb above. Plus, you did indicate in the hotel bedroom scene that though friends is all they may be, that’s not what either really want. Please don’t sacrifice the integrity of your story for the sake of drama. Your opening paragraph of chp 1 doesn’t make Bette sounds as if she’s just ‘cool’ about her relationship with Tina…she wants more.

    9. Ladies, please lol trust me, I’ll give you what you want. But I need for both Bette and Tina to realize that their relationship is TRULY what they want. They are meeting up again after three years, who is to say they haven’t changed enough to be sure that a romantic relationship with each other all over again is what they both want and it will go alright and carry on, lol you all need to trust me just a little bit more.
