    Bette reflects with Kit about ‘the’ Bear Lake weekend. Comparing and contemplation on 5.03 events

    Fallin…

     

    Bette woke abruptly from a restless sleep, she glanced around her bedroom with a sudden disorientation, noticing how the ceiling was white and not the wooden logs that she been sleeping under for the past two nights.

     

    She let out a sigh as she glanced across the bed and saw that Jodi was still fast asleep.

     

    They hadn’t yet talked about the disaster that was the ‘Bear Lake’ weekend and it really wasn’t something she wanted to get into anytime soon.

     

    She had conceded and agreed to the weekend because it was the right thing to do, as opposed to digging her heels in and saying out right that she had no interest whatsoever in going, which was actually how she felt about the whole thought of the weekend.

     

    It was something that she now had to stand back and think about first, think before speaking on a subject that might cause an altercation…, she had learnt that lesson the hard way…

     

    She quietly slid from under the covers, knowing that the noise she made was not significant, but the motion of getting out of bed was.

     

    The fact of doing it quietly was force of habit, one that remained engrained regardless of the fact that she didn’t need to creep around so as not to wake Tina any longer… 

     

    That she no longer woke up next to the woman that she still dreamt about…

     

    It unnerved her that Tina haunted her dreams even when Jodi was sharing her bed…, what was that about…?  Didn’t the very fact that you were in a new relationship mean that you moved on in your mind as well…?

     

    But weren’t dreams linked to both the conscious and sub-conscious…, so what was it in either that allowed her mind to wander to…, to…

     

    Tina…

     

    Bette shook her head, trying to rid her mind of the way her thoughts were progressing…, but sometimes the harder she tried to not think about Tina the more prevalent the thoughts became.

     

    In the present circumstances, maybe it was the disastrous weekend that allowed the thoughts to flood her mind, the constant way in which she made comparables to weekends spent with Tina and their friends, the fun they had, the games they played, the amazing moments of walking into a room full of their friends and feeling loved the instant her eyes met Tina’s.

    14. I love Kit, that girl knows how to get down to the heart of the matter! I think it is time that Bette let go of Jodi since she is really just trying to not make the mistake she made with Tina. Jodi is not her be all and end all Tina is!

    16. OMG !! What a marvelous idea you had to write this wonderful story together ! This is just so beautiful, so enthralling, so enchanting, so… ( Not to mention so addictive ! ). In the words of Kword75, this is a dream come true, two leading figures in fanficton writing working in tandem on a Tibette fic ! WOW ! I can probably die in peace now… But of course not until I have read the entire story and I hope there will be hundreds of chapters ! Thank you, poets !

    17. Oops, I just realized there were two dreadful words I had totally missed after Kit’s last sentence… (Sigh) I wonder why I had missed those… I guess that must be what Freud used to call a failed action…

    18. Dammit why can’t Kit have lines like this on the show? It’s like they just put Pam Grier on the show to draw viewers in and then make her go through hell nonstop. As for that weekend, I felt Bette’s pain. Being around people you don’t want to be around is a VERY lonely feeling. It’s like Jodi didn’t fill Bette in on any traditions the group has and Bette ended up looking like a stuck-up bitch. I’d REALLY like to see more than just 2 chapters of this.

And I genuinely think that these two parallel thought processes are indeed pretty close to what the characters may have been thinking after the events of 503… Future will tell…;) Thanks!

Why don’t you guys continue to write your views of how each episode should have been if it is diffrent from IC? Especially as you both love B&T together as so many of us do and think they have been shortchanged in scenes and on getting them back together sooner. Please do that for us. If you can not find the time or inclination to do that, please give us a part three that at least shows them talking and expressing their love and desire to get back together. Thanks guys.

This were great chapter with some funn from Alice comment but one of the thing that i like the most is how u two show us how B&T felt afterr the last experience that they were, each one by her side but in her mind and heart they are always together cause there always something that bring to each other’s mind great memories of her relation and make them realize that there should be together. i really like it.
