“Bette?”
Bette looked to her sister, noting the tone of Kit’s voice.
“What’s going on?”
“Its nothing…, it’ll sort itself out…”
“Bette, it is me you’re talking to you now…”
Bette smiled as she reached her hand over and linked her fingers her sisters.
I keep on
Fallin’
In and out of love with you
I never loved someone
The way that I love you
“For some reason…, the whole weekend I kept comparing things…”
“Huh?”
“Comparing weekends with our friends…, comparing the fun…, the conversations…”
Kit looked at her sister, there was definitely something more to what she was saying, there was an air of…, defeat…, about her.

“Are you happy baby girl?” Kit asked quietly.
“The million dollar question?”
“It can be a simple question of yes or no…”
Bette hesitated as the words of the song floated through her mind…
I’m fallin’
In and out of love with you
I never loved someone
The way that I love you
“I…, I thought I was…”
“And this weekend has made you realise that maybe you’re not as happy as you thought you were?”
“I think it’s made me realise a lot of things…” Bette said as she leaned forward and rest her elbows on her knees, she gave a big sigh as if saying it aloud had reaffirmed so many thoughts.
“Does a certain someone have elements to these thoughts?” Kit asked, already knowing the answer.

Bette turned to look at her sister, seeing how Kit widened her eyes as she silently prompted an answer. The ending of the song settling inside of her as the words resonated deep meaning of that one and only.
“She’s moving on Kit…, and I thought that I was too…”
“Baby girl…”
“What?”
“If you think she is moving on then you are more stupid than I thought…”
“She is though…, the mortgage broker…, and Alice said she had some hot date with Dr Boobs, whoever that is…”
Kit chuckled, “the heart surgeon?”
Bette raised her eyebrows, “heart surgeon?”
“Apparently…, but that don’t mean shit…”
“Of course it does…, if she’s dating, she’s moving on…”
Kit shook her head, sometimes feeling those elements of frustration for her sister not being able to see what was directly in front of her face.
“Maybe she’s only doing that because she sees you doing it…, Those things you were comparing…?”
“Yeah?”
“Jodi and Tina?”
Bette merely nodded.
“You were together a long time…, you have a daughter together…, and you know, its been good to see how well you’ve been getting on…”
“It’s been so great…, you know actually talking and listening to one another…, spending that time as a family with Angelica…”
Kit smiled as she watched the animation cross Bette’s features, seeing a complete change in her demeanour when she spoke of Tina and Angelica.
“Kit…” Bette whispered, as she felt a constriction in her throat.
Kit allowed her hand to rest on Bette’s back, rubbing gently to encourage her sisters words.
“I miss her so much…”
“Do you still love her?” Kit asked quietly.
Bette gently smiled as she looked out across the garden, suddenly realising what the garden was missing. The one thing that made the flowers bloom fuller, made the flowers aroma linger that little bit longer…
“Yes…, I do…”
Kit picked up Bette’s cell phone and handed it to her, “I think you need to tell her that…”

That was a beautiful, amazing, and lump growing in throat two chapters. Why can’t it happen like this on the show? Why does it take forever for them to even be in the same room without others around? All of the conversations that they have had alone have showed tenderness and love. I hope that you two would write again. Thanks so much.

Damn, if only 503 had ended like that! You two are quite the dynamic duo. Maybe you should do a couple more like this on the upcoming episodes. I loved to hear your interpretation of the episode this way. Not only thought provoking but entertaining too. I hope that you’ll consider it.

I love Kit, that girl knows how to get down to the heart of the matter! I think it is time that Bette let go of Jodi since she is really just trying to not make the mistake she made with Tina. Jodi is not her be all and end all Tina is!

OMG !! What a marvelous idea you had to write this wonderful story together ! This is just so beautiful, so enthralling, so enchanting, so… ( Not to mention so addictive ! ). In the words of Kword75, this is a dream come true, two leading figures in fanficton writing working in tandem on a Tibette fic ! WOW ! I can probably die in peace now… But of course not until I have read the entire story and I hope there will be hundreds of chapters ! Thank you, poets !
Oops, I just realized there were two dreadful words I had totally missed after Kit’s last sentence… (Sigh) I wonder why I had missed those… I guess that must be what Freud used to call a failed action…
Dammit why can’t Kit have lines like this on the show? It’s like they just put Pam Grier on the show to draw viewers in and then make her go through hell nonstop. As for that weekend, I felt Bette’s pain. Being around people you don’t want to be around is a VERY lonely feeling. It’s like Jodi didn’t fill Bette in on any traditions the group has and Bette ended up looking like a stuck-up bitch. I’d REALLY like to see more than just 2 chapters of this.
Ahh..there’s nothing like reading a fanfic by one of your favorite authors..EXCEPT for reading a fanfic by TWO of your favorite authors. You ladies ROCK!! Now bring on the epilogue – pleeease?

Why don’t you guys continue to write your views of how each episode should have been if it is diffrent from IC? Especially as you both love B&T together as so many of us do and think they have been shortchanged in scenes and on getting them back together sooner. Please do that for us. Waoo! good combination of great writers! i like it. This were great chapter with some funn from Alice comment but one of the thing that i like the most is how u two show us how B&T felt afterr the last experience that they were, each one by her side but in her mind and heart they are always together cause there always something that bring to each other’s mind great memories of her relation and make them realize that there should be together. i really like it.
