Chapter 5
Tina woke up in the morning with a tortuous hangover, squeezing her forehead; she looked down and noticed her nightwear. She didn’t remembered changing into pajamas – the only memory she had from last night was her trying to obliterate her pain with alcohol – well that doesn’t seem to work – her heart, still broken and her mind, in no state to comprehend.
Helena walked into her room – Tina can smell her favorite mushroom omelet from the kitchen as her bedroom door opened.
“Hey, you’re awake. I was about to wake you up for breakfast,” said Helena.
“Did you sleep here last night? And you changed my clothes right?” Tina asked sitting up as Helena sat down on the edge of her bed.
“You retched on yourself…so leaving you unchanged in that state would be quite mean of me. Don’t you think? And it’s not like I haven’t seemed you naked before,” she said to Tina who raised her eyebrows at her. “But don’t worry I would never take advantage of a drunk woman, I was really tired last night so I slept on your couch.”
“Nothing happen between us last night right?” Tina asked to make sure she didn’t do anything inappropriate to her friend.
“I put you to bed. You kissed me and seconds later I narrowly escaped your vomit.”
“Just kissing…I didn’t do anything more than that right? You know how I can be when I’m drunk…super horny,” said Tina remembering her old college days.
“Would it be horrible if you did?” Helena asked knowing the respond would cut deeper into her already broken heart.
“Not horrible but we came a long way to get to this point…I don’t want to hurt you again by using you as a fuck buddy.”
“Ah…the friend with benefit days. I kinda miss it,” said Helena remembering years ago when she used to have Tina, she was happy although she knew no matter how many times she had Tina’s body she would never be able to claim her heart.

Uh oh. I feel bad for Tina. It sure looks like Bette just lied to her. I agree with others that Tina knew Bette was married. However Tina has a right to tell Bette of her current feelings. I’m going to hope/trust that you will give us and our girls a satisfying ending! I love your story and eagerly await more.
ok so other than the HUGE strike Bette has against her (marriage) she just lied to Tina, thats STRIKE 2! I will keep saying/writing it….TINA MOVE ON!! This Bette is not worth it, lies, hiding, pretending, manipulations, it’s TOO much. If it is to be she will come after you honestly!
Oh and something else…..Bette was upfront about her situation so it’s understandable she would be stressed/upset about Tina wanting to change the rules. I just would hope that Bette wouldn’t talk mean to Tina anymore because of it. Life isn’t static….most things change. I really hope you can post again soon. Currently, this is my favorite story!
I don’t like what Bette did. She was sincere of her words but unsure if she’ll be able to pull it off. She shouldn’t have said it then because it’s still an empty promise. Thanks for the post!
Ok, so maybe Bette just told Tina a little white lie, but mainly b/c she’s lying to herself. Given the choice of losing Tina forever who wouldn’t say anything she had to… Now we just have to wait & see how this plays out. Bette didn’t say she’d leave her husband tomorrow, so she has some wiggle room in dealing with Tina and when they can ultimately be together. Oh, and Tina’s sister needs to get hit by a train or fall off a cliff! How wretched can one be to sell out your own family? Great post!
Oh this is soo messed up..beautiful!! Hope you’ll soothe things up and make Bette leave the guy..because some people are on strike here LMAO..Personally, enjoying all this drama, please do post soon!
As I stated in an earlier chapter, I believe Tina will still be waiting, many years & elections later for Bette to go through with her decision to leave her husband. It’s not fair to keep someone waiting & holding on to the hope that you’ll be with them and them only. It could take years for Bette to come to a decision. Tina is supposed to wait & lose years of her life & the possibility of another love for Bette? It doesn’t seem like a fair exchange to me. Love is about give & take, not take only. If Bette can’t follow through with what she really wants to do right now or soon, she should be honest with Tina about that fact, & allow her to move on. If they somehow come back together, then it was meant to be, but stop manipulating her heart. Thanks for 2 posts today. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

wow… first her sister is a nut job… she is looking ahead to seel this story… nice sister… and the little white lie bette told tina, i have a feeling its gong to bite her in the ass and soon… can’t wait to see whats next…pps

It is a very difficult situation for both. Did Bette said what he said by be jealous of Tina with Helena. // Tina knew the situation from the start, the what she did not know was that she would fall in love with Bette. The same happened with Helena fall in love with Tina. Helena, by be in love with Tina accepted to have at least a friendship with Tina because she knew that Tina’s heart would never be hers, I believe there must be easy for Helena. // Although Bette also admits he’s in love, Tina should follow the example of Helena and let Bette pursue their lives with his family. // And maybe in the future, they may find themselves in different situations.
Will that Bette would be comfortable if Tina too was in another relationship. // I do not believe by reaction she had with respect to Helena. Hahaha.
Bette is totaly manipulating Tina witch is so wrong but she is doing it because she doesn’t want to lose Tina so I will look past it ;) I don’t think Tina will be able to though lol… I’m with Vegas, currently one of my fav story right now so I hope you post again soon…Thanks a bunch for sharing :)
Once again Tina fell for Bette’s sweet nothings while Bette is not even convinced herself if she can give what Tina needed. Bette is playing with Tina’s head and those sweet words are just false promises. Tina being inlove took Bette’s words as a hope that Bette will be HERS alone and Bette is all lovey dovey sweet then treats tina like a bitch when tina makes some simple things that might tarnish her name when infact, Tina will never do such thing to destroy Bette’s precious family and social life. I just feel sorry that Tina is not doing some productivity in her life because she is stuck with Bette’s promises. Yes, Bette is considering of leaving Mr Jacson, but, until when does she expect Tina to wait? Tina sems like her life depends on Bette’s decision that she cannot open her heart to anyone, albeit move on to grener pasteur. Tina’s sister blackmailing her and Bette allowed and kept it from Tina is just a selfish act and disrespectful, It’s like she used her money to buy Tina from her sister. Tina should get mad of Bette doing this….Thanks again for posting.
I think you misunderstood me. I never said that Tina was morally too good for Bette. Far from it. What made me think that Tina was too good was the part in the story where Tina is goes on about having goals and dreams that she wants to see come true. To me she is starting to value herself, and Bette is holding her back. I believe that mistress’ are selling themselves short. Yes, they are no better than the married person, but I also believe that they’re more in love with the “chase” of pursuing someone who is unavailable in every sense of the word. I don’t feel sorry for either of them, I just want them to do the right thing.

I think that Bette is worried about her kids, but is not fair lie to Tina that loves her so much. I hope that Bette decides what she really wants
I’m really enjoying your story. It’s so sad to see what is happening between them. Tina did know what she was getting into but she probably didn’t think through what would happen if she fell in love with Bette. Now that she knows that Bette won’t change her life to be with her she needs to move on. I don’t blame Bette. She really can’t give up what she has with her husband, her children and her career. If she really loves Tina she should encourage her to find someone who can be there full time for her.
This is really messy. I don’t know, maybe B&T actually love each other. In which case they should really part ways now. All is fair in love and war, but only for those who are actually taking up arms instead of forever plotting and strategizing in the comfort of an office thousands of miles away from war zone. Or something.
Thinking about something someone said, or cold feet doesn’t = a lie. People have cold feet on their wedding day, it doesn’t mean they don’t love the person, it just means they are nervous about the commitment. Bette is nervous about how her children are going to take the news, and how to address it. There is no lie yet.
