They entered the kitchen. Bette bent down and knocked on the tiles of the floor and found loose pieces of tiles. She and her partner quickly began to remove the tiles. After removing the tiles they removed the metal door over the floor. They were shocked to see what was below.

When Bette looked down a woman stood with a taser beam pointed directly at Bette while shielding her wife and child.

The woman: Get back! Leave us alone or I will shoot you!

Bette stood there stunned. She struggled to find the words.

Bette: Umm. Listen we mean you no harm. We only want to help.

Sam: Yeah we’re detectives from Plutara.

The woman: How do I know that?

Bette: Here let me show you my badge.

Bette stretched her harm down to show the woman her badge.

“Robin we can’t trust them,” her wife whispered.

Robin: Reika we have to trust someone. We have been out in space floating for months and our food is getting low and Sieran needs diapers and clothes.

Robin: How do we know that you want send us back?

Back? Bette pretended to be unaware of the family’s natural origins

Robin: Listen don’t play games. We know Plutarians can sense Plutarians from none Plutarians.

Bette: Okay, Okay. Listen as far as I’m concern people have the right to go where they want as long as they come in peace.

Sam shook her head in agreement.

Rieka: Yeah but your government doesn’t believe that, does it?

Bette: Well, um… some people on Plutara don’t trust people from other worlds but some of us have evolved in our acceptance of others. Look, I want lie to you some of my people wont be happy about your arrival but I can protect you. That is if that’s what you want.

“How about you," Robin said pointing at Sam.

Sam: My job is to protect Plutara from invasors not people passing through or people who come in peace.

Robin: Fair enough then. Can you help us out of this cellar.

Bette: Sure there should be a button below that you can push to spring up the ladder.

    1. Don’t blame Tina at all. Surely Bette will tell her the real truth of the matter and hopefully she won’t have to protect their family with all that is in her. What are the women running from, I’d like to know as well. Hope it isn’t too terrible. Thanks for posting.
