The Planet Pax

The planet Pax. There were two huge islands, Nyx and Hemera. There were also two races: the Nox and the Hermex. It wasn’t that they looked different; it was because of who you were. The Hermex were the ‘good’ people in the eyes of their ruler. The Nox were the ‘bad’ ones. To be one of the Hermex, you had to meet up to some standards, you had to be: Christian, white, straight, fertile, healthy (not handicapped) and hate the Nox. If you weren’t all of these, you were a Nox and that wasn’t fun. The island on the dark side of the planet was the land of the Nox. The light side was Hermera. Although the Nox were with more people, they still had the smallest one. They had to live in very small houses and eat crappy food. They could only work in factories, mines and be slaves for the Hermex. Most of the people worked in factories but some chose for the mines. Almost nobody was a slave but you had the idea that you could choose. They weren’t allowed to plant their own vegetables or have animals they could eat. That was because for everything they send to the Hermex, that they made in the factories or found in the mines, they had to exchange for food, clothes and medication. The head of the Island, who was a Hermex and tyrannized them, divided the products under the people. Sometimes he kept things for himself, nit because he couldn’t pay for ‘good’ stuff but just to bully the Nox.

Also, the punishments for the people of Nyx were much harder. If a Hermex had to go to jail for 3 years, a Nox had to go to prison for 6 years if he did the same crime. The Nox couldn’t marry and if a couple that was gay or infertile wanted a child they couldn’t go to a sperm bank or adopt but the Nox had their own way of doing these things. They had made their own kind of marriage and females carried babies for gay men or men with an infertile woman and men helped gay woman or woman with an infertile man to get pregnant, yes, they had to sleep with them but most of those couples wanted children so badly they sacrificed their monogamy for a few nights.
