I woke up not feeling Ashley next to me anymore until I felt her arms snake onto my hip and she pulled me into her kissing my shoulder

“mmm…” I muttered then I rolled on my back and she hovered over me resting on her elbow “…did you actually sleep?” I asked her

“yes…I actually did sleep…”

“any dreams?” I asked her

“unless this is one…nope…” she said smiling then she put her head down kissing me gently

“so…what’s Blaire do anyways?” I asked her randomly

“song writer…” she told me simply

“so…you have this amazing career in this huge city…with a loaded and talented girlfriend…why still look at the small LA city girl like me?” I asked her

“because it’s not what you have in your life Spence…it’s who you have in your life that counts…” she told me kissing me again

“I still love you Ash…” I told her then she tucked a piece of hair behind my ear

“I still love you too Spence…” she told me

“so…what do we do?” I asked her “I mean I know I’m killing the mood and everything but…”

“you’re not…I’m just glad I’m lying in bed with you again, and waking up next to you in my bed…and I don’t know what we’ll do, I guess play it by ear…”

“but you live with Blaire…”

“she actually has her own place…and since she can stay here a lot she does…”

“but you work with her…is it weird?” I asked her

“not at all…we’re completely different people when we work…”

“I don’t think I’m going to do this recording thing for much longer though…maybe a few years…get a few albums out…”

“what? why?” I asked her

“because someday I want a family…I want to get down on one knee and propose to someone I’m in love with…” she explained to me

“did you ever think that would be me?” I asked her

“you know I did…sometimes I still do think it can happen…” she told me kissing me again then she laid back down and I curled up next to her

It seems as though People respect you because they feel you’ve survived hard times and endured, and although you’ve become famous, you haven’t become phony. They look to you for your career and your profession for inspiration, and once they’ve accomplished your dream from what they’ve read about you they never truly know what you knew. Sure, a career is wonderful thing, but you can’t snuggle up to it on a cold night…
