    “ASHLEY! COME BACK! DON’T LEAVE ME! MAKE THEM GO AWAY!”

    “Can I see her?” Ashley asks

    “Sure follow me. Only two people can see her at a time.” Dr. Brooks says

    Ashley nods and we both follow Dr. Brooks to Spencer’s room. We both stop at the large window outside of Spencer’s room and stare at her sleeping. She looks so broken, vulnerable, defenseless. I can’t even imagine what she went through. She’s a fighter I’m sure she’ll put this behind her. She has to for her sake and Ashley’s. They deserve to be happy. After a minute Dr. Brooks snaps us out of our thoughts and says, “You guys can go in.”

    With that Ashley and I enter her room. I stay back and let Ashley approach the bed. I can see she’s gently caressing Spencer’s cheek and whispering something into her ear. I think I’ll give them some privacy and go find James again. I need to make sure he’s making all the arrangements for our little surprise for the bastards. Hmm…and maybe I’ll see Dr. Brooks again. Looking never hurt anybody, right?

    Spencer’s POV

    Hmm…someone is touching my face. It feels sweet and tender. It has to be Ashley. No one touches me like she does. Her touch feels so good, so right. How I’ve missed her. She found me like I knew she would. I can’t help but smile and open my eyes. We’ll at least one.

    I can’t think or say it enough, she’s so beautiful. Not just because she is drop dead gorgeous physically but because of her soul. It’s so warm, caring, tender, protective, funny, and so full of love. She’s everything I could ever want. We look at each other for a long time just being content to be with each other. A knock on the door interrupts our moment.

    In walks in a male nurse carrying a tray. He stops half way in the room. I immediately start shaking and look at Ash with fear in my eyes and whimper, “Make him go away, please. Don’t let him touch me.”

    “Sweetheart, he’s not going to hurt you. I swear he won’t hurt you.” she says softly grabbing hold of my hand

    A part of me knows it’s an irrational fear because he isn’t Aiden but another one screams that it doesn’t mean he can’t turn in to Aiden. I never thought Aiden was capable of doing what he did so who says he isn’t capable of it either. I can’t, I just can’t do this. I look at Ashley and scream, “I CAN’T, I CAN’T, PLEASE.”

    1. no i’m not a mind reader, god i wish, but yeah this is one of my favorite stories when i see so many updates i leave yours for last cuz i’m to excited to read it at first, have to work my way up to it…lol. I wonder how spence is going to react to James, i don’t want her to freak out on him since he is such a nice guy and what he’s done for them but he is a guy none the less, maybe he should hire like six girl body gaurds to make it easier on her…pms
