    A Vampire's Lament – (Chapter: 10-The Black Parade)

Yes, continue speaking…I want to know what helped you gain a power no mortals should ever obtain without becoming an undead first.

"That’s when this blue light blinded me and I was having a seizure in the dream. After that, all I remember is waking up and grabbing Ashley’s arm. It seemed like my touch burned the hell out of her skin…" Spencer finished, tapping her foot on the ground impatiently.

I knew she wanted to run away from all of this but with immortals and a werewolf blocking her exit, it was impossible. She had to obey our laws that were suddenly thrust into her life thanks to my stupid ass.

I gulp silently as I lay on the ground motionless, my body defeated from the drama it was put through all night long.

"You burnt her arm? I noticed nothing resembling a scar or mark of any kind when we took her in." One of my kind guardians said. Judith had been crying for a couple of hours now, the whole time I’ve been painfully waking up. I felt her presence around me from time to time, whispering how much she loved me and how I should never been put through this.

Well, if she only knew how grateful I was for her saving Kyla’s life.

"Let’s just hope there was something left on Ashley, a bruise of any kind would help us interpret the happening of her growing abilities." Evana said kindly, standing up from the chair she sat on. I could hear Arial’s footsteps walking towards Spencer in an attempt to relax the poor mortal.

"Don’t worry, Spence. Ashley’s asleep so hopefully when she wakes up, she’ll be back to her old self." She told her, linking her arm through Spencer’s and the blond girl slightly smiled.

If I could define myself as any of the Seven Deadly Sins, I would be a remarkably beautiful image of Envy. Jealousy was strangling my heart because I wanted to be the one to hold Spencer’s hand and be the one to tell her everything would be alright.

But I was seen as a monster in her eyes, I could feel her insecurities of having to see me yet Arial convinced her that she would be safe with her.
