    Alteration – (Chapter: (8) Reality Part 2)

“Uh, hello, I’m Dr. Blake, your doctor for today”

Sniffling, she wipes at her eyes before turning and being met with the very close face of a…clown?

    “Holy shit!”

She screams as she jumps back, almost falling over and onto her dad. The short but lanky man backed up a bit as he removed the mask he wore, revealing a slight frown and kind, worried eyes.

    ——-Ashley’s POV——-

“I’m sorry if I scared you, I was kind of hoping you’d laugh”

“I simply nod my head as I stare wide eyed at the supposed doctor that stood in front of me. He wore the normal scrubs and white coat thing but his latex gloves were rainbow colored as were his…roller skates. His hair was like a neon red in a faux hawk. He also had an Irish accent, or was it Scottish? And to top it all off he had this huge barber quartet type mustache. There was no way I could keep a straight face, even in these circumstances.

“So, let’s take a look at what’s wrong with you, yea?”

Raife nodes as Dr. Blake skated over to the foot of his bed and took up the clipboard. As he read it, he skated all around the room and asked Raife questions of the medical variety. Then there were some that made no sense, such as his favorite color and his opinion on certain moves and so on. I hadn’t realized Spencer was in the room until I heard her laugh, that awesomely beautiful laugh that I love so much. I walked over to her, in the farthest corner closest to the door. The room was pretty big, it being a Davies and all. I doubt they’d hear us, not that I would care. Spence would though. She has this pet peeve about privacy…it’s weird.

As soon as I sat, her arm wrapped around my shoulder and she kissed the top of my head. I snuggled closer to her and kept an arm around her waist. Being in Spencer’s arms, it’s in describable. I feel warm but every time she messes with my hair. I feel vulnerable and weak but she gives me this strength and feeling of utter safety.

“I called Mia, she said won’t be able to get here ‘till tomorrow”
