I shook my head. ‘I’ve never met her roommates, she only moved in with them over the summer,’ I explained quickly. I was looking forward to meeting them, especially now Spencer had met them.
‘Oh, they’re nice. One of them, Cleo has something against Addison. She warned Meg about her,’ Spencer was frowning at the memory, I thought I’d better give her some more info about her friend.
‘Spence, before Addy was with Kate she was a real love em and leave em girl. She broke hearts left right and center. She was always at the clubs, a real loner.’ It was true, she had quite a rep.

‘You don’t like her either.’ Spencer accused Maggie.
I watched the exchange intently. The dynamics in this group confused the hell out of me.
‘It’s not that I don’t like her.’ Maggie ran her fingers through her hair as she formulated her reply. ‘ It’s just that she has no respect for me like she does for you. We’re too similar,’ she gestured around the room. ‘You, me, Ashley,’ I snorted, very true.
‘Ash, she didn’t mean it. She was just protecting me,’ Spencer jumped in when I made my disgust known but Maggie was shaking her head, sending her soft waves flying.
‘Doesn’t surprise me.’ Maggie shrugged as she held Spencer’s eyes with hers. ‘She’s jealous.’ Spencer frowned. ‘I bet she doesn’t like Amy much either?’ Maggie questioned the blonde.
‘No she doesn’t,’ I volunteered. ‘She had a go at Amy yesterday too.’ Maggie looked to me then back to Spencer.
‘See.’ Spencer didn’t look convinced. ‘She gets on well with the rest of your crew because they’re not a threat. She’s number two and wants to keep it that way. It’s just a pissing competition with the rest of us, we’re all alpha’s fighting it out between us.’
I kind of understood what she was getting at but was still confused.
‘It’s the lack of respect I don’t like, not the girl,’ Maggie was looking very frustrated and Spencer was getting agitated by the attack on her friend. The tension was rising and it was making me uncomfortable. I reached for Maggie’s magazine and began to fidget with the pages.
‘I mean, she took one look at my girlfriend then took her right from under my nose. That does not promote a respectful relationship Spencer,’ Maggie explained in exasperation. What the hell was she talking about?
‘They’re very happy,’ Spencer defended her friends actions.
‘I know, that’s why I didn’t fight it Spencer,’ Maggie sighed, sounding tired of the conversation. ‘Look, I don’t want to row, I was just explaining how I see it. I know you love her and you have a very special relationship but all I’m saying is that not everybody sees her that way. OK?’ Spencer frowned but then nodded before dropping her eyes.
‘Spence, listen.’ Maggie continued. ‘She doesn’t respect me but she’s polite because you wouldn’t have it any other way. I suggest you make sure she treats Amy and Ashley the same. OK?’
‘Yeah, I’ll talk to her,’ the blonde agreed in a subdued tone.
‘OK, it’s just to stop things going sour. Alright?’ Another nod from the blonde.
‘She really upset Amy the other day,’ I volunteered, feeling a bit bolder with Maggie to back me up. ‘I don’t care what she says about me but Amy’s my friend and if she starts anything again I won’t let it slide.’

Ashley finished and I was amazed at the change in her demeanour. The passionate defence of her friend had injected a spark of life that was missing most of the time. She confidently faced me off and I could only nod. God she was fucking hot!
‘Yes, I’ll talk to her as soon as I can.’ I agreed with a smile. ‘Amy’s means a lot to me and I won’t have her being upset or bad mouthed.’
‘You’d better,’ Maggie joined in Amy’s defence. ‘She means a lot to me too Spencer.’ I knew she did, the two had formed a strong bond that night.
‘I’ll sort it, I promise.’ I hadn’t realised things were this bad. Addy needed pulling into line, that could actually be a lot of fun!
Maggie nodded and stood to leave. She gave me a look as if to say ‘I’d take you right now if I could’. I smiled, trying to convey the same feelings to her. Her smile widened, she got the message.
‘Sorry Spence. I don’t mean to go on but I thought you’d better know.’ She was beautiful as she lent back against the counter. Last night had been a one off but it was the least I could have done.
‘Thanks, I’ll sort it.’ I’d lay the law down to Addison the next time I saw her. Maggie smiled and nodded her acknowledgement before pushing off the counter.
‘Bye Ash,’ she detoured to give Ashley a hug and they held each other for a moment, completely relaxed.

Mmm, she smelt good. I caught her breathing deeply as we relaxed into the familiarity.

Okay, haters. And that’s all I have on that note. Second, aww the ending was so cute. It felt like Austin was a little kid telling a secret they’re not supposed to tell. Awesome when Ashley took credit for the bite haha. Again, amazed at how you keep everything in order even though everything is so intricate. It just baffles me!
*content sigh* .. this story just makes me happy! I saw you’d posted but then I had to go to work and I kept thinking man i want to go home so I can finish reading this chapter! this really was a great one and I loved all the spashley!! I think I’m almost gunna be sad when they get together though because you’ve done such a great job at writing all these other characters that I’ve fallen just as much in love with them all! anyways this was such an amazing chapter and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
addison needs to be reminded like, every day that she got a girl! where is kate, bring that chick back with a whip. ash is adorable and hooooot. i love that she’s rebuilding her life. Great update. it didn’t feel 24 pgs long at all
OK i have to start off by saying what a great job you did, and that is really an understatement. I’ve been really sick for the past week, and have been on bed rest. I was upset because the fever made me dizzy and i couldn’t check to see if you updated and i was SO not going to the hospital. There was some major pouting on my part. I’m feeling better and then i checked to see you updated and i got all excited, it was a great get well chapter for me. I LOVE THE LENGTH. I like them better when they’re long. I think that you could continue this story without Spencer and Ashley and there would still be a lot of us that would still read it, but Spencer does make the story. I like Addison, but she wasn’t my favorite in this chapter. I’m not saying it was bad, but her jealousy issues are not hot. Spencer correcting her though was. :D I love that Ashley finally took charge of something instead of just sitting back. She couldn’t have picked a better moment. I do hope that the next chapter Spencer and Maggie come clean with Ashley and explain all the ‘complications’. I would also like to see another chapter on The Room mates (Kate’s older sister and her friends) Maybe a house party is needed and all get invited. Sounds nice to me. I feel like Amy is going to get hurt by all of this. Kate does need to come back into the picture to help please Addy. I think there might be a Spashley moment coming up where it’s just the two girls having a heart to heart. Ok well this is getting long and i still have a lot running though my head since i’ve been doing nothing for about a week. I’ll end it with the norm, PMS Please and Keep em Coming. In all sense of the word

Ok first thank you very much for the thing about me being sick. I feel much better now…which you already know haha. I really really liked this update. Ashley is so slick and awesome. Then Spencer just knows how to work people its just cool to see her in action. Kyla and Madison are so sweet together I really like that. And as for just leaving it hanging like that you suck…jk you don’t you know your awesome lol. I can not wait for the next update…even though I kinda technically have to. Well again this was awesome. Good job.
holy hell spence is making plans with maggie & amy AND addy & kate! good lord the girl is busy. so lucky too. oh and I agree with what stix said about addy being reminded over and over because she was seriously pissing me off here! grr. fabulous once again, it’s all like the puzzle is coming together. and you know I’m so stoked about the next chapter because I’m dying for ash to have her ‘light bulb’ moment and remember just who spence is. oh and Pride was great! I’m not sure if I already left feedback for this chapter or not, but whatever, hahaha. I love this fucking story. I am living off of this story and Marshall Daniel’s…on this site. I am getting anxious, because I feel we are getting closer to Spashley, and I kind of want some “Magley” or Ashgie, or something, hahaha. I hope to see an update again soon.
