‘Oh and don’t forget Kate, come after me or Spence and you’ll also have her to deal with. I really don’t think you want that to deal with.’ Kate was sitting with Addison playing poker at the second table with Cleo and May, every so often she would look over in our direction, she was worried but I smiled at her and she relaxed. Yeah she was my ex but you know we’re still very close friends and I knew what lengths she would go to when it came to protecting those she cared about. She scowled at Bella and I chuckled when the girl next to me sat back in defeat.

‘You got me Mag’s, but I’d do anything I could to protect Thea you know?’ I admired her loyalty.

‘It won’t come to that babe, don’t worry about it,’ I patted her shoulder reassuringly. ‘What’s May’s story?’ I continued the conversation, hoping my friend would assume it was just general interest that made me ask.

‘Maggie, I hate to tell you babe but she’s out of your league,’ Bella chuckled when she saw the look on my face.

‘Do you realise who you are talking to?’I replied indignantly, ‘No one has ever turned me down, not even you babe, remember?’ I smirked when she realised I was telling the truth, I’ve told you we never did the deed but she’d been interested enough to come home with me that night and she was remembering now.

‘OK,OK!’ Bella threw her hands up in the air, ‘maybe not out of your league but she doesn’t sleep around, Hell she has women begging to sleep with her all over the place but she never accepts as far as I know,’ my friend explained.

‘Never?’ I queried, I mean the girl was human and hot as hell so I found it hard to believe.

‘Not casually, she had a girlfriend first year of college but she moved away and it didn’t work long distance. Since then she’s just not shown any interest in any body so you can chase all you want but I doubt you’ll get any results.’ Bella finished and took another swig of her beer, emptying the bottle and placing it down on the table.
