Broken Heart – (Chapter: All my life)

“Carlin, Spencer Carlin.” She mumbled as she grasped my hand

The moment our hands touched I felt something. This little jost that went down my spine. It was short lived though because we both let go quickly. It was like we had just been burned. I thought she had felt the same thing. I really did. Her eyes went wide and she just kept looking at her hand.

I broke the awkward moment when I mumbled, “So when do you want to get together to plan on how to write this thing?”

“Whenever. I don’t really care.” She said trying to sound uninterested. Later she told me she was just pretending because she was so nervous. Well at least that’s what she had said.

“How about we exchange numbers and then go from there?” I said nervously

She nodded her head and grabbed my arm. She took her pen and wrote her number on my arm. I just watched in astonishment. I couldn’t believe it. I mean we where in class. We had pens, pencils, paper for god’s sake. Not to mention cell phones. But I quickly realized she just did it to see what reaction she’d get out of me. That’s when I realized that she did stuff like this to get people to react to her. So when I saw that little smirk I relaxed and even let her write her name on my arm above the number.

When she finished I just smiled and said, “Great, so I’ll call you soon. We should really get started ASAP.”

Now it was my turn to smirk. Those beautiful blue eyes of hers looked so confused. I guess she was expecting for me to freak out or something. But I didn’t. I just took it in stride and turned back in my seta because Mrs. Taylor was starting to talk again.

And so it began. We began to spend almost all of our free time together. Truth be told a lot of the time we didn’t get much done. Hence the marathon all nighters we had the week the paper was due. Now I can’t help but smile. We really seemed to have had a wonderful time. But we got it done and she actually surprised me. She was so much smarter than I expected her to be. I had heard about her before we got partnered up. A straight C/D student, loves to break in girls, loves partying, does drugs, drinks alcohol, doesn’t give a damn about authority or school for that matter. You regular James Dean…LOL. Okay maybe that was a little too much but you get the idea.

    1. Amazing update, kinda sad though. I feel bad for ash. Everyone is on the sad parts of their spashley stories right now and its killin me lol. Can’t wait for the next update!

    2. Another great update! It’s actually kinda funny considering alot of other people have Ash as being the total bad ass, but you went a total different route and its good. I do feel bad for Ash, and hopefully things get better for them..love love love it PMS!

    3. I really like this Ashley. She is sensitive. She thinks about how others feel a lot more. That makes her definitely more loveable (not that we don’t love a bad ass too). I can’t imagine how she feels without having that constant loving contact from family. Lonely is definitely the word. I feel so sad for her. Her broken heart, especially when you can tell that she needed to be truly loved. Oh Spencer what did you do?!Loved the update baby. (And yes, I can read between lines love. *smile*) More please. Just More.
