Changing For the Better – (Chapter: The Nightmare That Never Seems To End)

“Okay, see you later then,” Skyler, replied. They turned to leave and I hurried to get my books. I made a promise to myself this year to be on time. I was sprinting now I was going to make it when…I found myself sprawled out on the floor. This is no my day.

“Oh crap, I’m sorry!” exclaimed Aiden. “I swear it was an accident.” He extended his hand and helped me up. “Are you okay?” He started picking up my books.

“Ouch, yeah I’m alright,” I responded shaking it off. Just then, the bell rang.

“I’m sorry about that,” Aiden said sounding incredibly sincere. Wow, this Is definitely a first. Maybe I judged him too soon, emphasis on the maybe. “Now that I knocked you down again I also made you late. I have wonderful timing.” I started laughing a little at his rambling.

“It’s okay,” I replied. He handed me my books. “Thanks.”

“I promise I’ll find a way to make it up to you,” Aiden stated.

“You don’t have to,” I insisted. “I’m sure I’ve knocked down plenty of people in my day.”

“It’s no problem,” he insisted. “Yeah, so just tell you teacher a dork took you out,” This made me laugh harder.

“Yeah, so I’ll talk to you later, because I have to go.”

“Yeah, sounds good. See you later Spencer,” he replied. He actually seemed human today. For once I didn’t feel like he was just trying to get into my pants. Then he ran off and I went to my next class. I hope the teacher buys my excuse.

The rest of the day just seemed to tick by. The entire time I kept playing different scenarios of tonight in my mind. Each one got worse and worse. I couldn’t figure out what they were up to. They know I’ve moved on. The final bell rang and we were free, or in my case doomed. I quickly put all of my homework into my bag and started walking to the parking lot. Standing there waiting for me was the crew of my misery. I took another deep breath, and went head first into the storm.

“Spencer you ready to go?” asked Kristi.

“Yeah, where we heading?” I replied.

    1. Spencer needs to open up to Ashley about her past especially now that Alyssa is back in the picture. I hope Alyssa doesn’t ruin what Spencer and Ashley’s relationship. PMASAP.

    2. i feel like alyssa and her crew put something in spencer’s drink cuz all she had was coke, she didn’t drink and kyla and ash need to get there soon before anything really bad happens pms

    3. I hope Ash and Kyla get there in time! and i think Ash will understand about the kiss…she was drunk, it’s not like she had a choice. What I don’t understand is why Spencer went out with Alyssa and those idiots in the first place. The whole time I was waiting for them to like throw her in the trunk of their car or something equally hazardous. Also, even if Spence did go out with them why would she get completely sloshed? She should be watching her own back! Stupid!! Great update!! Great writing too! pms!
