Circles and Circles 2 (Part one of… some) – (Chapter: Never gonna let you go (Part two of… some))

Spencer got better fast. She was young and healthy, and besides Ashley was waiting on her hand and foot until the blonde girl made it clear that if she didn’t stop, serious words and actions would occur. Ashley toned it down, but was still looking worried a lot. Spencer tried to calm her down, but it didn’t really work. She figured her girlfriend would get over it eventually anyway, as Spencer was clearly fine now. Even still, there was clearly something on Ashley’s mind that wasn’t Spence’s health. That worried her more than anything. No matter how hard she tried to persuade the brunette to talk to her, the girl was persistent in saying that nothing was wrong, Spencer knew she was lying.

Riley came home from her gig a few days after Spence’s release from hospital and barreled in the door, throwing her arms around her friend in a whirlwind of movement that the blonde would forevermore associate with the young musician. She was still unable to do anything at half speed. After answering a million questions about what happened, and being reassured over and over that yes, Spencer was really ok, Riley settled down to talk about the show. She talked so fast Spencer was lucky to catch every third word but she managed to cobble together a rough idea of what had gone on. She sat with a bemused smile listening until the young singer stopped and took a deep breath, apparently finished.

“So, we hanging this weekend?” Riley asked hopefully, looking at Spencer and Ashley.

“Not this weekend” Ashley answered from the kitchen, “Spence and I are going away.”

Spencer shot Ashley a confused look. “Since when?”

“Since” came the reply, Ashley turning away to search through the pantry. Spencer frowned and got up, leaving Riley leafing through some magazine pretending this argument wasn’t happening. She hated it when they fought, even though it barely ever happened. It wouldn’t have surprised Spencer if she headed for her room as soon as possible. The blonde got to the kitchen and leaned on the breakfast bar, trying to catch Ashley’s attention. The brunette had some recipe she’d pulled out of Ri’s magazine in her hand and was looking through the fridge.

    3. Oh my how sweet. Awwwwwwwww. You should continue this story. Even after part 3. I want to see how they are doing after they get married. If they have children. And where life takes them. This is a great story and needs to be shared with all of us on here.

    5. ::sniff!:: Love it! Love the fluff! ::sings:: We love the fluff! Gotta have that fluff!! AWWWWW…:: Sorry. I’m a little out of it. I’m really freaking hungover and I feel like my eardrums have been filled with hot lead. And despite that horrible burning pain, I still loved the fic! Speaking of which, Jesus rode by to say hey. He was happily going to ring his little bell, but due to my current state, I told him that if he even DARED dinging one tiny little ding that I would shove his bell in a very inappropriate location. So he left. In a huff, I might add. I think he went surfing in Kaui…

    7. Oh and on a side note (now that I’m thinking clearly and no longer in horrible pain): You can never be guilty of overposting (and that goes for you, too, bannerman!). You both are simply causing my morning productivity at work to diminish by a startling degree. Luckily, I have a bevy of med students who are completely under my control so I can set them out on a variety of tasks while I bask in the glory of your ficdom. And then feel horribly guilty. :( Actually, no. I’m not that bad. And work’s been really slow, so I’ve enjoyed the distraction. :)
